1. Be thou supreme - Personal reference: This hymn is in the key of A major. Capo 2 and the chords are being played in the key of G. Everything I say onwards is zeroed at this capo. The plucking pattern is pima imi (p is thumb, i is index, m is middle, a is ring, C which rarely appears is pinky). The root note is played and then consistently with chords G, D (only in the intro) and Em the the adjacent string is not plucked. Constantly throughout the hymn the 3rd fret 5th string is being played. In the opening G is played then D is being played with the 2nd fret 1st string as also being played for a step. The D chord past the opening is basically always played as a C chord but slid 2 frets higher.
