Its about the struggles of getting out of habits of inaction, wasting time on the stuff that doesnt matter, instead of spending time engaging in more life enhancing moments. These habits and compulsions to pay attention to the worthless are difficult to shift. They can form deep cut thin lines in our minds that are hard to notice and even more difficult to escape from. The song culminates in an instrumental outro which echoes the positive feeling of breaking free into the 'flow' state and finding yourself thriving on life...kinda the way I felt when I was playing it.
