Deep Shoq is a household name in the Lithuanian urban –electronic beat scene. Coming from a Baltic background, he encompasses various styles, one of future beats, contemporary electronica, soul, bass music and groove based on jazzy chords (hip-hop and R&B music is also an influence.)

With early, illustrious influences that range from classical, neo-soul, hiphop, he started messing around with production and rap in 2005, pursuing a jazzy, hiphop tip, before emerging as a solo artist and pursuing the electronica and future side of beats. Besides Lithuanian compilations, recent releases under international labels such as Project Mooncircle, and Shimmy Records have put him on the map.

We feel almost bad for sleeping on this dude for the longest time, but thanks to our artist La-no, that has clearly been rectified.   
Mostly influenced by Brazilian, Carribean and African music, the 20 yr old beatmaker has been experimenting different shades of world music - add his long history of being immersed in the dance scene (popping), BlackDoe has developed an unique rhythmic quality in his music. 
Additionally, his chords stand very strongly on their own - at once melodic yet wonky, lending a  certain strangeness but eventually, one cannot help but get absorbed into his universe.

The future is bright for this young one, and we have every intention to travel with him.

We continue our journey into sound with the Wandering II Compilation. This compilation celebrates the 20th release in the original SS series. A journey that took close to a year to compile and prepare. The tracklist is comprised of friends and artists who share in a connection with Silent Season through their music.

The Wandering Compilation is named after the Wandering tree, a Big Leaf Maple that grows very slowly near the beach by my house. I sit under this tree to ponder and watch the ocean. It’s a favourite place to chill with music and contemplate life. It’s under this tree that the idea of compiling a series of music that embodies the Silent Season vision and sound was born. We welcome you to sit back, close you’re eyes and listen to the sounds of the Wandering II compilation.

In a world rife with chaos there is so much beauty that can be found by being in nature. The aim of the Wandering compilation is to share music that encourages people to take notice of their natural surroundings and find peace within Mother Nature. The love of nature is a common language that transcends political and social boundaries. Through music, nature gives us universal purpose.
