When I was writing this song I was thinking of how busy the year gets and how the holiday season gives us a chance to slow down and touch base with each other. The holiday season is my favourite time of the year and I wanted to create a song that was soothing and relaxing, the kind of thing you’d listen to chilling with your person. Anyone who understands the longing and happiness of reencountering that special someone will get it. 

“CAN WE” is a musical journey that celebrates love, togetherness, and the timeless spirit of the holidays. It's a perfect addition to your holiday playlist, promising to bring a touch of romantic nostalgia to your festive celebrations.

With 'For The Sisters,' I, alongside my sisters, wanted to create a powerful anthem that embodies the essence of unity, support, and the enduring strength of sisterly bonds inspired by our own bond and collective love of music. This collaboration brought our shared emotions and history to life, and we hope it resonates deeply with whoever knows and understands the beauty and nurturing comfort that sisterhood, (biological or chosen) brings. 

The lyrics 'I'll be there no matter how far' and 'With a bond too strong to break' (from the song’s chorus written by Suubi, Rhona and I) capture our unwavering solidarity and the celebration of togetherness. We wanted the song to have an upbeat mood that is both uplifting and empowering.

The song can be classified as an invigorating pop anthem with uplifting R&B/afro soul influences. As the narrative unfolds, the song reveals layers of unity, familial bonds, and unconditional support, highlighting the significance of sisterhood, family, and legacy.

'For The Sisters' features a modern sound marked by rich instrumentation and dynamic vocal arrangements. The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Andy Muzic.

The warm, rich melodies and harmonies evoke a collective sense of support and belonging that are reminiscent of a warm and reassuring hug. This song is set to resonate with those who cherish the invaluable relationships in their lives, especially the unbreakable bond between sisters, given or chosen.

'For The Sisters' is not just a song; it's an ode to sisterhood, a celebration of familial strength, and a legacy of unity, making it a cherished addition to any listener's collection.

The song features and was co-written with my cousins, (who I consider to be my sisters) Suubi, Krystal and Rhona and Andy Muzic. It also features my beautiful niece Branice.

FOR THE SISTERS

Love Letter is the kind of song that feels like a late-night confession—smooth, intimate, and deeply felt. Blending soulful R&B with a nighttime drive vibe, it tells the story of two people caught between knowing and denying, feeling and fleeing.

She admits how deeply he moves her, how she sees right through his hesitance; the love in his eyes, the way he holds back.

 “I hear your heart calling, but I act like I don’t know—baby, when I know.” 

She feels the pull, but instead of stepping closer, she mirrors him. If he hides, so does she. If he lies, she lies too. And so they both run, even when they both know the truth.

But while their actions are tangled in uncertainty, his words are not. He refuses to let go. 

“I’m never giving up. I’m never letting go”.

 Even as they hesitate, his heart is unwavering.

Yet the song doesn’t end with an answer, it ends in motion, in the cycle of running and knowing, knowing and running. 

“You lie, so I lie… and we both run away, but we both know the truth.”

The moment never fully closes, the confession never fully lands, leaving the love suspended in the space between them.

Co-created by me, Unity Originaal and Timothy Dylan, Love Letter isn’t just a song; it’s a lingering question, a feeling that won’t fade, a love that’s felt louder than it’s spoken.

If Love Letter is the confession, then Love Letter (the poem) is the aftermath. The song leaves us on a cliffhanger; two hearts caught in a cycle of knowing and denying, longing and running. No resolution, just the weight of unspoken truth. But what happens after the silence?

Now, she’s standing at the edge of that question, trying to decide. Should she hold on? Should she let go? And if she does let go, how?

“How am I supposed to unlove you, when your hands know the carve of every inch of my soul?”  

It’s not just about moving on, it’s about undoing something that feels like it was always meant to be.

So this poem is the reckoning. The unfiltered reflection of a woman experiencing a love too deep to simply walk away from. It’s the part where she finally confronts the weight of it all; not just the love, but the imprint it left behind. Because even if she lets go, will she ever truly be free?
