I've always wanted to share a raw experience with people, and I find that I'm my most transparent when I'm talking to God. The way we speak really is a dialogue, and I recorded this fully well knowing He'd ask me to post it, but that really at the heart of it, I really wanted to post it. 

I want you to know that it's okay to talk to God - about funny things, things you learn, questions you have. The Freedom Project is me going to God first - and really taking seriously my commitment to doing what He shows me is best, first. 

This doesn't mean that I don't do what I want - in fact, I do exactly what I want a lot, but it doesn't always turn out best. I believe that God is infinite - and because of that God has seen a lot of things I haven't, and I think that makes (them) wise - really wise. 

The Freedom Project is my way of sharing the truths that God has revealed to me in a way that frees me from the chains I've put on myself related to mediocrity, to not telling the full story, and places where I've been inauthentic. I know this won't fix everything, but I've been tired of hiding. 

So here's a letter to God, where I just cry and get real, and by the end, I think I'm talking to you - to ask whether you'll join me, on this journey to freedom and living real, open and honest.

This is the song that really started everything - my journey toward understanding divinity - how I started *becoming* God's child. While this probably isn't the final version, I remember recording this very intimately, and really in my feelings. I'd written songs before this - but this was the first time putting a song together fully in a studio. (I recorded at KingdomSound Studio in Everett, MA with David Altenor, who produced this audio and scored the instrumental track.) Sharing was new for me, and so was trusting another artist with my vision - but it came out beautifully, even for a first version, and I'm honored to share with you a portion of what is to come - soon.
