Stockholm-based producer & label head Conformal welcomes two talented artists to his label imprint Lima Express with the release of his Fredag Remix EP. This is the first time Conformal has released music from outside artists on the label, of which there will be many more this summer & onwards.
Metropolitan Soul Museum is a London-based duo who have released on labels including Step Recordings, Toy Tonics, Normals Welcome & more. Their deep & groovy, jazz-inspired sound lended itself perfectly to their spin on Conformal’s Fredag. With a large, fuzzy bassline & spaced out pads as the centerfold of the track, their remix is perfect for a summertime sunset party or an early morning after hours. 

Next up is a hypnotic remix from fellow Swede, Ebende. From Conformal’s hometown of Gothenburg, Ebende has released a number of EPs on esteemed label Aniara Recordings. His signature sound really shines through in his remix, consisting of perfectly crafted percussive grooves & underwater melodies. It really takes you on a journey through space.

The prolific Swedish, Grammy-nominated producer Adrian Lux takes a break from his exciting Off The Meds project to bring a warm and expressive single to Lima Express titled 'Life On Mars'.

Ahead of its release on June 28, the artist has handed the track over to Mixmag for a premiere. It's a restrained and gentle UK Garage song and Lux's knack for creating spacey and sentimental dancefloor vibes shines through amidst the track's muffled breaks, waning melody and thick low ends.

‘Porta Dream’ is fluffy tune full of energy. It sounds both old & new at the same time & is primed for the dancefloor. With dreamy horns & airy synths, ‘Porta Dream’ is the kind of song you want to hear in a dark room full of fog when the world just melts away & there’s nothing to distract from the moment.

The dreamy floating pads are gently woven with avid percussion and form a flawless interaction of subsonic tenderness and refined rhythm. Stockholm-based producer Conformal welcomes old friend & Los Angeles-based producer Aspetuck to his digital imprint Lima Express. The song marks the 5th release of the year from Aspetuck who launched his project only earlier this year. With a touch of 90s rave influence, Snoot is emotive & bouncy, drenched in a melancholic yet hopeful character.

‘Snoot was made this past spring after a fun afternoon with some pals. My dog Peanut got into a small food-inspired fight with a very close dog friend of his & came home with a big bite mark on his snout (hence the name Snoot). The poor guy was very very sad & embarrassed, not at all hurt really but just looked a bit funny, as if a bee had stung him on the nose. I felt really bad for him. This crunchy emotional tune popped out as soon as I sat down & thought about what happened’ says Aspetuck about the song. ‘A few months later Conformal decided he wanted to release it on Lima Express & here we are!’
