Bass, hurdy-gurdy and violin were recorded in a few hours. The drums were unwilling to collaborate... After a few nights spent in watching a lot of drum solo videos, we finally could do it.

Maculae are four girls who play an important role in this fictional band. In an outbreak of desire to create a signature tune for them, I wrote this song.

Maculae Caprice or Maidens' Consent is the complete name of this song. I closed my eyes at the moment I was creating this and I saw myself in an inn like the one that is described in Moratín's work. If you like plays I recommend you this one.

This song was at a first moment intended to have some brass instruments, but I started to work on a piano project and decided to use this song for it. Maybe I'll rearrange it for brass instruments.

There's a second piano over there. Some parts are impossible for me to play with just two hands.

Iniicio

Our dear flute and hurdy gurdy player is a legend! She used to bully couples who dared to enter the forest later than one o'clock and do those things that lovers do.

The truth is she just nicely "asked for" their money and then lectured them about the danger of the forest and being so lewd. She did this just twice or so; when she got enough money to take the bus, she left the place.

Today people is so easily frightened and suggestible that they made a legend from this and they say that in "some forest of Spain, there's a vampire girl who will take half of your life if you dare to enter the forest later than one o'clock".

Angie is a little familiar, a succubus. It's the spirit of a white cat that won't allow her master to be ashamed or aggrieved. 
She's a very lovely child that shines under the moonlight.

Iniicio was the first song I created when I wanted my music to be part of a bigger project. The first chapter in my novels was written when the main melody of this song was playing in my head. Since then, I composed around a story, around fiction, the same fiction that reproduces in my head at the same time I hear the songs that I would transcribe later to a score.

Iniicio was the «inicio» (spanish word for starting point) of my complete works. And this is a tribute to that original Iniicio I will publish someday. For the time being, this is Tellus.
