This song speaks of a girl's heart. She sits at the piano in the middle of the night, suddenly wishing to have someone by her side. She imagines what he might look like, dreaming of different things that they could do together. Then, she wrote "Looking for a You."

This song is a lighthearted Bossa and is also my first attempt at Jazz composition. The initial image portrays the girl's imaginations and then drums and bass are added after the New Age interlude. Then, cheerful Bossa Nova rhythm started, accompanying all the happy imagery in the lyrics. 

Looking for a you徵一個你 (Chinese)

This song compares our life to a flight in pursuit of an infinite sky. The sky symbolizes the most genuine heart, the most desired smile, and the most unforgettable promise. Even though we try hard to reach the sky, the sky is still far away. The whole pursuit is just like the span of our life, which passes away like a dream.
For this song, I used the acoustic guitar, the piano, and guitar drumming to paint a clear sky. The initial image carried by the piano is a person watching the sky. Then, guitar strumming takes the listeners on a flight. The interlude is changed to triple meter, whirling in a waltz. The piano takes on the flying role in the recapitulation, playing broken chords in ascending and descending lines. The guitar is now the protagonist, narrating the story of the sky.

A Day of a Puppet
This piece portrays a puppet who loves its master with its whole heart. When the master is not home in the morning, the puppet is lifeless. The whole world stands still. Only the clock remains ticking on the wall. When the masters comes home in the evening, the puppet comes alive, singing and dancing with the master. That is the happiest moment of its day. When the morning comes, the master leaves the house again, leaving the motionless puppet in a silent world.
The cello and the piano are used to tell this story. The piano is the narrator and the cello is the protagonist. I think that the cello is special in the way that its timbre is both warm and melancholy, which is perfect for interpreting the story. The first half of the story takes place in an empty house in the morning. The world stands still. This section is in E minor to express the loneliness. The piano in the interlude symbolizes the sunset, and the key is changed to G major, creating a warm, happy ambiance. However, the happiest moment is suddenly interrupted by a piano solo, representing the dawn. The master leaves, the key changes back to E minor, and the lonely puppet lies motionless in the house.
