Thanks, this has always been a fond memory of my childhood. I have always loved trains and many, many years later took the Crescent  sleeper train with private bedroom to New Orleans and enjoyed every minute of the trip.

Thank you for writing a song about trains. This is a really nice one.

I used to see steam trains go into Chicago from my bedroom window, seriously, when i was a kid. I remember

I am drawn to folk, blues, soft rock, and country music new or old. I love songs that tell a story, especially the Irish, English, and Scottish ballads of long ago because their stories are often timeless, and most everyone at anytime can relate to.
