On GLOBAL METANOIA, 10 artists choose instead to explore how an injection of hope might lead to something far more radical. From Beatrix Weapons’ cathartic mashing together of IDM, industrial, and breakcore, to SUTA’s bubbling experimental pop, to Die In
Polar’s vocalising over a pounding high-speed tresillo, the producers featured here not only push club music deep into adventurous new terrains, but manage to do so with a genuine smile.


Based in Guangzhou, aDeAD is the co-founder of underground party organization PAAK and holds multiple identities: music producer, designer, music critic, and video creator. In their performances they draw from a variety of dance music styles, breaking boundaries and honing a personal sound and aesthetic which has emotional violence at its core. aDeAD's new club music sound is expressed through future tribal rhythms, high speed impact, and unpredictability. They have released on Genome 6.66Mbp, Jyugam, Daftpop, and Gully Riddim, appeared on Shanghai Community Radio, Cloak, Radio80K in Munich, and Rainy City Radio in the UK, and have made mixtapes for Baihui, GNG, Jerome Mixfile, HKCR, and more.

Over the past few years, Nahash and ABADIR have been sharing food recipes, the same sense of humour, and their love for 90's rave, Beth Gibbons, Sun Ra, and grilled lamb. They met last summer for the first time and enjoyed a B2B together during a label showcase in Fano, Italy. Their memories of and appreciation for 90’s and early 00’s Arabic pop music inspired their first collaboration on SVBKVLT. Marchadair is the distillation of the meaty club sound by both producers; ABADIR’s micro-edited audio sampling and surgical chopped percussions mixed with Nahash’s lavish dub techniques and hefty bass, all serving as the main ingredients for these 4 heavyweight tracks. To close the menu, the EP features remixes by Ehua and Toumba.

The track titles play on a symbolic link between both artists and their native languages, using French words that have morphed into Egyptian slang. This Franco-Egyptian mixture echoes the hybrid sound of the EP.

El Pie de Oveja, the latest V/A compilation from Cuntry Club, brings together Zgjim, K1RA, Fortunato, Rkills, KoIfin ft Ephemer, Rumina, and Vincent Ce Soir ft U.R.A.M.I., 9starP, blending industrial textures with rich folklore. The title, meaning "The Sheep’s Foot," evokes ancient myths where sheep symbolize innocence, sacrifice, and vulnerability. This contrasts with the industrial, metallic sound present in the compilation, evoking a sharp, mechanical bite.The guaracha influence, woven into the frenetic rhythms, syncopated grooves of jersey club adds a Latin electronic undercurrent to the darker tones. Inspired by the 18th-century French play Le Pied de Mouton, which features a talisman with unpredictable power, the compilation mirrors the idea of mechanical unpredictability—both powerful and volatile. The sheep’s foot also references Hydnum repandum, a mushroom known for its rugged texture, adding an organic contrast to the industrial soundscapes.

Rooted in hardgroove techno, machined with robotic effects, and shaped by hypnotic textures, the album explores the tension between the organic and the artificial. Metallic tones collide with synthetic warmth, while moments of stillness stretch across scorched sonic landscapes.
