According to the calendar of astrological seasons, this year‘s „Scorpio Season“ defines a new cycle of growth and exploration. Unsurprisingly, Joannes embodies these characteristics on his new EP to the fullest.
„Feline“ combines everything we love about Joannes. Melodic Detroit techno, deeply rooted in 90s asthetics and paired with vibrant harmonies. All the ingredients you need to create a formidable summer hit.
„Halfway Bliss“ is next in line. Though the title is kinda misleading. Because what we are getting here is a no less than a full bliss. Again, these awesome and seductive trade mark melodies, carried by soft break beats.
„Heavy Heart“ is the most driving track on this EP so far. Stomping drums, dubby echo patterns and the inherent feeling to make you want to move your body. This is the perfect opening banger for every open air set.
„Jacksons“ is more on the toolish side. Soundwise embedded in old school techno roots, this track is all you need to crank your set up to the nex level.
„Tunneldingen“ marks the end of this amazing EP and is pure ear candy for all lovers of minimal techno. It’s the perfect finish and closes the cycle of Joannes’s growth and exploration…until the next release at least.
