This is a ancient piece of Chinese music, originally played by Xiao (a vertical flute) and the 7 stringed instrument called GuQing in Ming dynasty. The piece itself is to express the characteristics of plum flower's white purity and fragrant and its cold resistant and to praise the noble moral integrity.

The two instrument in this piece is Erhu-Chinese Violin and GuZheng - Chinese Harp, we recorded this many years ago in Nottingham.

This is a piece of music about a woman who last her husband to the war and went to the river where she said good bye to her husband before he went to the war and tell the river her anger and sadness.

This Is one of my favourite pieces of music, it makes me very emotional every time I perform it.

Cross Cultural Music Collaboration - Erhu( Chinese Violin) and Classic Guitar Performance
Chinese ehru and classical guitar come together in this intriguing collaboration, performing European folk music and improvised pieces. Ling Peng’s classically trained,  virtuoso, yet rawly emotional performance on the Chinese two stringed violin combine with Nick Fletcher’s precise and fluid guitar to create a musical conversation, described by David Darling as “fantastic…deeply moving”.  
Nick Fletcher is a composer for solo guitar and he is regularly played on Classic FM.  Ling Peng, recently been descried as "A FINE MUSICIAN" by The Times, began her career as a Chinese orchestral soloist and now creates new fusions through collaborations across the art forms, including; performing with World and European musicians from classical and traditional backgrounds including great musician such as Pianist  HAVASI
Since starting their collaboration , they have been invited to perform at many venues including The Royal Festival Hall.
