Wherever you look, life has changed. Sometimes it feels like being in a state of shock. We seem to be challenged at every turn. There are plenty of opportunities to do better, but where to start? "Drop in the ocean" is not only a song dedicated to our planet, but also to us who are living on it.

In the introduction "everything moves", lots of signature sounds and key elements for Lingby’s music are to be discovered: polyphonic female choirs, brachial and noisy interruptions from deep brass instruments and synthesizers,, repetetive and relentless beats give an not exactly soft, but fierce entry for the female lead vocals, taking us with her closely on her journey.

Lingby’s characteristic sound combines the use of brass instruments (played by Carmen and Judith Heß), polyphonic vocals and a female lead singer with classical band instruments, synthesizers, samples and beats.

The second single „Acceleration“ is a tribute to trip hop. Enveloped by samples, minimalist beats and bass, mellotron, theremin and flugelhorn, the singer moves even closer and takes the listener into a state of fragility and the question of pursuing happiness during a state of having lost control.

The third and final single „Compromise is a maze“ opens up a space for defiance and frustration for the first time. Guitars and synthesizers become a sluggish mass, driven by a trip-hoppy drum set and interrupted by cutting noise. The vocals fluctuating somewhere between angry rebellion and relentless inner voices.
