Porcelain Tortoises is the second EP from the genre bending, shite talking rap vagabonds and noise monkeys that make up Lingua Vulgaris. Representing over a year of work, from the humble beginnings of sampled and sequenced tracks, using a blend of real instruments and borrowing from our influences, to working as a full live band, pulling together varying genres into our own special blend while keeping Hip-Hop at its core.

At first glance, there isn’t much that ties Lingua Vulgaris together. A bit of a ragtag bunch with a strange collection of tunes and a wide range of lyrical themes, these six Gateshead lads manage to tie it all together. From politically motivated rock (with a massive synth underpinning it) to battle rap reggae, from drug-love songs to introspective funk, they consider very little outside their comfort zone.

With a mixtape and a live e.p release so far, they’re just getting started in the studio, but it’s as a live act that they really shine. They’ve shared stages with some of the best emcees the U.K has to offer, metal and indie bands alike, as well as hardcore punk acts like the fiend. Winning over different demographics of fans with every step, and they get the same response time and again; 'I didn’t think I’d like it at all, but you were class!’ Closely followed by ‘What are you called again?
