For their fifth release, Belgian label LINK Audio turns to German electronic maestro, Alexander Kowalski who temporarily steps away from techno to deliver two beautifully crafted electro tracks.

Alexander Kowalski has been producing and performing since 1997, often fusing elements from classic Detroit to historical Berlin techno in his music, which has appeared most prolifically on Kanzleramt, as well as Different (PIAS), Tronic, Propaganda, Factor City and many more including his own label, Damage Music Berlin formed in 2009.

‘DGTSU’ is a hard-hitting but at the same time melodious electro track with glittering retro elements sweeping alongside modern production techniques, while ‘Connected’ brings a moody timbre that’s dark and atmospheric.  Both tracks are a testament to Kowalski’s skilful approach to music.

LINK Audio returns to its techno roots for the next release by Tindra,
after two special electro 12”s from Alexander Kowalski and Dany
Rodriguez.
Tindra hails from Liege in Belgium and has a long background in
electronic music. She first began spinning records in the early ‘90s
before deciding to take a break and returning in 2017. However,
throughout that time she never left the studio behind, creating music for
herself, or as one half of Pearl Vision. In lockdown she turned in an
impressive DJ set for The Advent and Dave Bates’ virtual Techno-
Club.net and began working on new material.
Now she makes her LINK Audio debut with this double-header featuring
driving beats, atmospheric melodies, vintage-style electronics and
samples of her own vocals.

LINK Audio’s own Dany Rodriguez follows up his solo ‘Voyage 2088’ by
teaming up with Oliver Way (EPMmusic / Detroit Grand Pubahs) for the
next release, which features two collaborative tracks.
The anthemic ‘First Act’ originally appeared on the ‘Break The Silence’
digital charity compilation to raise money for Campaign Zero. Now it’s
presented on vinyl to open LINK009. The track was a result of Dany and
Oliver’s first studio session together which turned out to be a hugely
positive experience and something that seemed to come naturally. ‘First
Act’ delivers piano keys, bass and breakbeat combined to create a
poignant and sensitive affair.
On the flip side, they deliver ‘Second Act’ which in some ways could be
seen as a continuation of their first track. But this time the powerful
drumbeat, delay on the bass and acid flourishes bring their own unique
drive to this more up-tempo track.

Coming next on LINK Audio is a collaboration between Secam and
Alexander Kowalski.
Alexander Kowalski needs little introduction, having been producing and performing since 1997, releasing on the likes of Kanzleramt, Different,Tronic, Propaganda, Factor City and Damage Music. Earlier this year he also turned in 2 stunning electro tracks for LINK Audio on DGTSU (LINK005). Meanwhile, Kay a.k.a. Secam is the founder of the Eurorack modular brand LPZW, which he has been running for the last 5 years. Healso has a long history producing electro.
These 2 artists first met at a club in Leipzig some 20 years ago and have stayed good friends ever since. Although they've both released solo music on the same labels like Konsequent Records and even exchanged remixes in the past, this is their first full release working together. Here, they join forces on;Margins; released on vinyl 8 th November followed by the digital release on 26 th November, to produce 2 epic electro soundscapes, the title track and Burnt Castles;

LINK Audio, established in 2019 as an accompaniment to the LINK Festival and events series has gone from strength to strength with warmly received releases not only by Dany but also featuring artists like Alexander Kowalski, CYRK, Oliver Way, Secam, Tindra, DR8, Pierre Noisiez and more. Spirit 82 is a deep and squelching machine-funk track with dark vocal cut-ups, while Brain Picture; features glittering electronics and atmospheric keys.

Dany Rodriguez's 'Brain Picture' originally appeared on his 'Spirit 82' vinyl 12" released on LINK Audio in February and recently featured in XLR8R's Music Submissions Roundup for that month. Now it receives the remix treatment from two of the label's artists, Alexander Kowalski and CYRK.

Alexander Kowalski delivers two interpretations, his cerebral and spacey Synapse Mix which works beautifully as an EP intro and the precursor to his main Remix that pushes Dany's original into melodic Techno realms. Meanwhile, CYRK stay true to the original's Electro elements but deliver a tough punch and retro touch to the vocal components. Also included on the 'Brain Picture Remixes EP' is the original version.

To coincide with the release is the LINK Outdoor Festival on Saturday 7 May in the old military base of Fort de Chaudfontaine in Liège (Belgium), with an all-star LINK Audio line up of Alexander Kowalski, CYRK, Pierre, Dany Rodriguez, Tindra, DJ Xentrix, Alex Sender and Freeman, alongside special guest, Anthony Rother.

To follow on from the Alexander Kowalski and CYRK remixes of his 'Brain Picture' track, Dany Rodriguez now returns to LINK Audio with two new original cuts.

While both tracks share the genre of Electro, there's a distinctive contrast between them, with 'Beyond' delivering drive and groove, with washes of colourful melody and vocal touches. While 'Parallel Circuit' opens with delicate piano keys and sweeping strings for a more IDM inspired soundtrack.

Dany Rodriguez 'Beyond EP' will be exclusive to Beatport for two weeks from 22 July. Other download stores, streaming sites and also the vinyl version will be available from 5 August.

Belgium-born and based DJ and producer PRSPCTV a.k.a. XENTRIX returns to LINK Audio with a new Techno EP.

As a DJ, Xentrix bought his first pair of turntables in 1994 and started touring Chicago House and Detroit Techno in local parties and clubs.  Mastering production techniques soon followed and he released his first album in 1997 on the Antwerp label, Minimalistix.  Other releases for labels like Reload, Bipolar, News and Pornographic soon followed, as well as his own Kroma Recordings which ran from 2002 to 2006, later forming Neutre Records in 2017 when he also launched his PRSPCTV moniker.

'Mad Circus EP' features two of his original Techno cuts, as well as a remix by the talented Temudo who boasts releases on the likes of Klockworks, Soma, Clergy and Modularz.

Dany Rodriguez heads up his own LINK Audio label's 2023 catalogue with a new Electro EP, 'Electric Frequencies'.

On his new EP his aim is to deliver a varied colour-palette.

On the A-side, the more melodic title track, 'Electric Frequencies' and second cut, 'Sharing Soul' feature deep chords and leads alongside a powerful bassline to bring depth.

Meanwhile, on the B-side 'Secret 888' and 'Feel It' are punchy tools. A departure from Dany's previous Electro productions, but the kind of tracks he enjoys playing in his DJ sets and his inspiration to create them in this way.

Dany Rodriguez's 'Electric Frequencies' is released 27 January, both digitally and on 10" vinyl.
