Après la mort de George Floyd, je me sentais solidaire de celles et ceux qui prenaient la rue aux Etats-Unis. Le Comité Adama a appelé à une mobilisation dans la foulée, jour du procès d'Assa Traoré pour avoir nommé publiquement les gendarmes ayant tué son frère. Ces cas sont trop nombreux.
J'ai souhaité rendre hommage à toutes les victimes de violences policières, montrer que ce combat est ancien, que la musique en parle régulièrement, et depuis longtemps, en France comme aux US. 
La musique rencontre ici des discours politiques, de rappeurs ou témoins, extraits de JT ou captations sonores de manifestations. Dead Prez rencontre Assa Traoré ou Malcolm X, The equals rencontrent Kendrick Lamar, parmi d'autres.

ENGLISH : After the death of George Floyd, I was feeling solidarity for the people in the streets. In France, the Adama Comitee (created after the death of Adama Traoré in the hands of police officiers in Beaumont-Persan's "gendarmerie" in 2016) called for a demonstration on the 2nd of June 2020.  These cases are way too numerous. 
I wanted to pay tribute to all victims of police violence, show that this struggle is old, that music has spoken about it regularly and since a long time, in the US and in France. 
Music here meets political, rappers or testominies' speeches, tv news extracts, protests audio samples. Dead Prez meets Assa Traoré or Malcolm X, The Equals meet Kendrick Lamar, among others.
