In over 20 years of label work, I have seen many artists come and go.
Many of these artists were really very ambitious.
But they didn't stand up to the pressure in our music industry.

Producing music is a very time-consuming and expensive
business. 
You have to constantly adapt to the high production standards.
And that's not a cheap business and an enormous investment of time, 
at the expense of your life, your friends and your family.

The biggest problem is probably that in our market, which is dominated by booking agencies 
and monopolised by a few artists, new talents hardly have
a chance to present their music at a party.
Even we, Drukverdeler & DJ Bim, are hardly recognised as a live act. 
even though I have been writing music history as a DJ and manager for over 30 years.

Our example is perhaps one of the best to show how entrenched our market has become.
When you sit in the studio for years, producing music that works on the dancefloor, 
but you are simply ignored or overlooked by the organisers
it's more than difficult not to lose the passion and courage to keep going.

It's not just about the few hundred euros that a new live act gets today,
to reinvest in his studio. 
Rather, it's about living his dream and playing his music in front of an audience himself.

At some point you just ask yourself why you're still doing it, you hear other DJs playing your music,
you see people on the dancefloor partying to it, but you as a producer are simply ignored.
At some point, you reach the point where you give up, switch off the power in the studio and spend your free time 
with your family, your wife, your kids and your friends.

I therefore approached three artists who, just like us, have been trying for years to establish themselves on our market 
and somehow get a little more recognition, but are simply being overlooked.
They haven't given up yet and I hope they won't do so any time soon.
Because I see great potential in them, not only in their creativity, but also in the functionality of their work.
Because at every party where I play their music, there is movement on the dance floor.
And that's probably the best statement you can make.
