Song for Rise

Performed at Sensoria Festival in Sheffield and Live Art Bistro in Leeds, Evangelist was a series of free events that engaged with television evangelist Oral Roberts' extraordinary life story and took the form of an immersive nine room audio-visual installation. Created by Buffalo, it explored the charisma, drive, relationships, successes, failures and tragedies of this engrossing character, the relationship between religion and wealth, and the line between faith and fundamentalism.


Buffalo also delivered a closing event featuring an improvised, interpretative live performance by six local musicians.

Dark & Lovely - Jasmine

An interactive, collaborative and constantly evolving installation, created by Buffalo in collaboration with Purple Patch Arts, that drew on the themes of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood. Visitors were encouraged to share their memories, dreams and ideas of community which then become part of the installation.

Dreams of Milk Wood was a fully accessible installation which was inspired by, created with, and open to audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). The work explored and revealed Under Milk Wood to both mainstream and disabled audiences in new ways, challenging assumptions on how people with PMLD might collaborate and engage in art.

In winter 2014, Leeds Town Hall unveiled ‘The Wood Beneath the World’. Creative studio Lord Whitney transformed the series of hidden corridors, cells and crypts beneath one of Leeds’ most iconic buildings. The project combined striking set design with immersive theatre to take audiences on an unexpected journey into a world of the forgotten, the surreal and the subconscious. Dense, dark woods had silently taken over, as if growing beneath the city for decades, unnoticed by those who walked above.

The Wood Beneath The World - The Clearing

An immersive exhibition which commemorates the end of the First World War, and a time of optimism and change.

Seeds of Hope explores life at Harewood in 1918 through the eyes of the gardeners who lived and worked in The Bothy and the Walled Garden.

The exhibition commemorates the experiences of those who worked on the estate 100 years ago, exploring themes of self-sufficiency, resilience, healing and hope.

Seeds of Hope is created by Lord Whitney a creative studio based in Leeds, with sound design by Buffalo.
