So here it is, the first track from my forthcoming album “All Paths Lead To Experience”.

This track; “A Determined Dreamer” is my yearning for a better world, my tapping into the collective zeitgeist and giving my spin on where we can go from here…all delivered with positive intent for the future…enjoy :)

I’ve always been somewhat of a determined dreamer
…Naively positive, an idealistic leaner
I see a way that things could be; a different schema
I lay it all out on the line, a future, cleaner
With greater awareness, where people care less
About material gain…they’d rather fairness
Amongst all beings under this sky so blue
We co-create a new world, this time we follow through
To make a lasting change, cos more & more awake
Yes day by day awareness grows in seeing whats at stake
Identifying imbalances, causing all the problems
Correcting and challenging the status quo’s wrongness
See once many years ago I felt all alone
But now see tipping points galore that threaten the throne
Because there’s only so much crap that people swallow
Before they see the promises as lies that ring hollow

So where to from here now that a spade’s a spade
And we all see there’s important choices to be made
Consult a moral compass and accept no less
Than freedom for all and redefining of progress
Cos one human being doesn’t have the answers
That blind following has rendered us as cancers
Malleable, deprived and with lowered standards
It’s crazy when existence aint the way we planned it
So what we do now is of great importance…
The path is long and theres no hope for shortness…
The answers are here, but old ways hold them back
But I’m quite aware that we can right the wrong track
What do we want…no more bullshit confusing me!
What do we need…no criminal acts with impunity!
What do we want…bodies boosted with immunity!
What do we need…a local living community!

So let’s imagine a place where we’re all connected
No locks on doors, no need to feel protected
A place where we share with each and all

But of co-operation with each other
Where Community's a spirit, not an empty word
And your outcome is mirrored with the rest of the herd
We’re pieces to a puzzle of immeasurable worth
As puzzle pieces we're connected to the earth
And there's no place for irresponsible power
And we’re no longer enslaved to the final hour
We understand our place in this great cosmos
Consciousness feeds the spirit instead of what was
No more faith in blind dogmas and such
And no hidden hand to ensure us in its clutch

I think about the doubter lodged in my head

Cos past-life crap bubbles to the surface
Creates conflict, tells me I’m worthless
I try to shut it out…but I can’t
As much I want to forget…I shan’t
Cos, in truth…I gotta heal the internal
Create a clear channel to the force eternal
And there are those who made me feel abandoned
Who weren’t there to support, but left me stranded
Some left the musical path, unsure
I understand, but can’t shut that door 
Sometimes I wanna quit it hurts too much
Am I going nowhere? Am I losing touch?
Though I feel kindred spirits come soon
I gotta march on and erase the gloom

I’ve tried to fill my life with another path
But when I walk away I wind up at the start
Something compels me, tells me “STAY”
It’s bigger than me, it won’t go away
I can’t stop even if I wanted to
My mission needs me to follow through
Not about end goals, but the process
To make spirit whole, it accepts no less
So battle weary, I walk lockstep
Eyes fixed and alert, seeking what’s next
To climb this mountain to higher self
Activate through music…cos it helps
Bridge gaps between the divine and I
To stay positive in my mind’s eye

Cerebration: the working of the brain/thinking

I rap about drugs and how some of us use them therapeutically to give ourselves a temporary vacation from reality (alternative expanded awareness), or to try and find some deeper spiritual meaning/sense of the universe. 

Although if used with positive intent (instead of being abused as a crutch) they can still only scratch the surface of existence...If we're willing to dig deeper within ourselves and cultivate new abilities outside of the norm we can always find the answers lying within.

Most of us have an experience with them, whether in the form of socially accepted ones (alcohol, caffeine, pharmaceuticals or nicotine) or the - quote...unquote - illegal ones.

I fall out of love with life sometimes

Wading deep in the recess of my mind
Penetrating the steepest of inclines
But substances give me access to more
When they knock on the old perceptive door
I get a peek, but not for long
The door slams shut…I’m forced to move on

Sitting in silence with a divine coach

A pleasant moment to reach out and float
Suspending time untangling binds
Forging neural pathways, DNA unwinds

To balance and heal is my main cause
Close wounds that separate me from source
Not ready to stop chemical assistance
But in time it can happen with persistence
Right now, it’s a welcome addition
To aid in my own spiritual attrition

Break thought loops, no more groundhog day
No permanent answers to be found here
But a glimpse of a way out is made clear
So I take it for the gift that it is
