Stockholm-based composer and musician Linus Hillborg has an interest in compositional techniques born out of limited computing power and sample memory. Residue is a collection of weird, darkened and solitary sounds derived from such practices, including soundtracks and ambiences from early bootleg games - heavy on FM-synthesis, repurposed samples and microtonality - as well as music of past presents and future pasts constructed in a similar vein.

Toneladas de finest breakbeat como nos tiene acostumbrados, bien hilados para que vayas calentando para la primera fiesta que tenemos (mañana, viernes) de madrugada desde hace mucho tiempo. Aquí dejamos su bio:

Omega 3000 nació en el norte de Inglaterra en los 80s. Aprendió a pinchar con vinilos de hip-hop de Nueva York y a pintar graffiti en Sheffield donde fue a estudiar. 

Su transición a la música electrónica coincidió con sus experiencias con éxtasis a finales de los 90. Hizo amigos con Luca Lozano, una relación que mantiene hasta el día de hoy con varias colaboraciones de arte y música durante los años.
 
Actualmente vive y trabaja en Barcelona. Tiene un programa de música de pista cada mes en Dublab.es, Wave 131, caracterizado por sonidos de rave, breakbeat y hasta gabber.

Linus Hillborg, a Swedish composer and musician based in Stockholm operating in numerous fields, ranging from electronic musics and interactive installations to post-punk and noise groups. In 2021 he released his solo-debut Magelungsverket, derived from the installation Orphan Works (2019) which he built with an obsolete video game engine. He has previously put out music under the moniker Atonet, co-runs the imprint Moloton and is set to release new organ and violin music through XKatedral in 2022.
“This mix is a healthy slab of early electronics, soundscape music, punk, video game soundtracks and new stuff from me and friends.”

Meaning roughly ‘lowered', it can for instance be used to refer to; reduction of volume, a boat having been sunk, feeling depressed or ill as in ‘I feel really sänkt’ and even having been struck down.
