This cover version of Madonna’s Material Girl was arranged for the Sackboy: A Big Adventure video game by award-winning composer Winifred Phillips.  The music for Sackboy: A Big Adventure has already received a BAFTA nomination for Best Game Music, and the Sackboy: A Big Adventure video game was one of the biggest video game releases of 2020.  The BBC described this track from the Sackboy: A Big Adventure soundtrack as “a glorious cover of Madonna’s Material Girl by Winifred Phillips used to underscore Sackboy’s thrilling leaps from enormous bubble to enormous bubble in a sub nautical realm.”  The track was praised as “a wonderfully weird orchestral waltz cover” by IGN, and the PlayStation Blog hailed this version of Material Girl as "a standout moment in the game, the song reworked as an orchestral waltz that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Vienna concert hall."

The track was released on the official soundtrack album for Sackboy: A Big Adventure, from the record label Sony Classical.  The orchestra was recorded at Air Studios London.
