Super Arbeit. Das Quartet ist absolut ausgewogen, spannungsgeladen. Ein Streichquartet ist quasie die Königsdisziplin im Komponieren. Die hast Du mit Bravour bestanden. Mehr noch, das ist richtig richtig gut...!

This movement has a much more contemporary harmonic language than the very Romantic mvt. 1. I really like them both, but perhaps they should be two separate works? Anyway, the live performance sounds great in both movements.

I like the second movement even more. Again I have to ask who performed so well your composition ;-)

Sweet Reverie by Shirley Ly | Violin and Piano Duet

Swallows swoop in the sunset. We see their strong, deep wingbeats at a distance. A storm amounts. Clouds are thick and swallows lose their senses of direction in the darkening skies. Raindrops batter their wings. 

The clouds disperse and the swallows emerge slowly and cautiously to find their way back to their warm clay nests.

Hello fellow music addicts!

I love to listen to every kind of good music. Good music for me should be unique in its rhythm, harmonies, sounds or interpretation. Good music should captivate the listener from the first note on and never let him go until the last.

I write my own music in a mostly contemporary classical style, which is inspired by the great composers from the past as well as from the 20th century (like Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Strawinsky, Bartók, Strauss, Eisler and many more).

I'm looking for artists, who want to interpret my music. I send sheet music for free to anybody in the world, who is interested in performing my music live on stage, in studio, in your music class or anywhere. The only condition I have is, that you record it in any possible way, so I can hear your interpretation.

I hope my music captivates you as it captivates me.
