Homemade Weapons & Gremlinz feat. Collinjah - After Dark (J:Kenzo Remix)

Serving four impressive heavyweights, Nicky Boy Floyd leads us through bass-ridden ventures, beautifully re-clothing the constituents of original Dubstep - transporting them into the present. ‘Wits’ urging chord swells and dub-wise arrangement represent the result of his minimal sound design - taken to its fullest effect. Infused with a luscious drum groove, the broad sample palette and the odd dub siren serve to complete the sound stage. Switching to leisurely shakers and electrifying stabs, ‘Hybrid’ is diving off into a cohesive tincture of 140 BPM based bass music stripped to its essentials and lavishly drenched in Dub - a vibrating time portal into pre- historic times leaving the listener yearn for a rewind. Collaborating with Diego, the mood in ‘Casualty’ takes a dive into more dismal eyes-down heavyweight excursions, unfolding before our ears. Abstract hi-hat guide a delicate rhythm along giant kicks and snares, while the livid bottom end un-compromisingly hauls its weight to a rhythm of massive proportions laid bare. Pulsating to a different beat, the yearning, melodic instrumentation of ‘Maneuver’ is propagated into ecstatic introspection through totemic drum sequences and scattered movements.

The heritage of this series speaks volumes, and 'Sick Music 2018' takes the quality to a whole new level. Filled to the brim with dangerous dubplates this full spectrum injection is a must have for each and every D+B devotee.

Hospital's leading dancefloor duke Danny Byrd has taken things straight back to ’99 with ‘Devil’s Drop’. Firing on all cylinders he's keeping it raw, rolling and funky. In a similarly devilish fashion we have 'Bootstrap Bill’ finally unleashed by the enigmatic Unglued. Unashamedly destructive and executed with precision, this track is more dangerous than Donald Trump drunk on Twitter.

In a perfect fusion of Hospital and Med School, we see Fred V & Grafix's 'Hurricanes (Wild Love)' re-worked with pristine precision by everyone’s favourite prodigy Keeno. Keeping the vibe level at eleven, Hugh Hardie's delivered the gorgeous ‘Nightingale’, both seductively simple and oozing with elegance.

‘Just One Second’ by London Elektricity gets its first re-work since the late Apex’s famous remix on the very first Sick Music. The beautiful track see’s a sterling contemporary edit and is a testament to Mitekiss’ talent.

This album also brings the first solo single from the biggest name in D+B right now, Kings Of The Rollers. Fiercely pushing into new territory ‘Burnt Ends’ has been causing carnage on the dancefloor, getting double wheel-ups from across the globe.

Joining this rich tapestry of exemplary D+B are both veteran composers and new blood alike including: Klute, Whiney, Urbandawn, Reso, Logistics, John B, and of course Hospital Records' commander-in-chief London Elektricity.

The release will be available across all formats but its grandest form will take that off the highly limited box set. Featuring a CD, the 4x12” plates, some box set only stickers and an exclusive T-shirt. One for the collectors, this is not a release to be overlooked.

Logistics, one of Hospital Records’ most prolific artists, is back with his seventh studio album ‘Hologram’. Inspired by his travels to Hong-Kong and New Zealand, this universally admired drum & bass figure presents a vibrant 16-track collection soaked in his signature groove, soul and liquid-funk stylings.

Opening track ‘Lotus Flower’ sets a warm springtime tone with fluttering harp-like arpeggios and atmospheric pads. ‘Broken Light’ follows on from the success that singer/songwriter Thomas Oliver brought on Logistics’ collaborative LP with brother Nu:Tone. A sombre tone matched with melancholic lyrics bring a blissful beat to the album.

Keeping true to the craft, ‘Chant’ flips to Logistics’ jungle style with molten-hot flair. A powerful punch of expertly sliced breaks and vocal stabs are the ingredients for this dancefloor weapon.

It’s safe to say that this has been worth the wait. Although titled from the ever-growing illusion of the digital-age, ‘Hologram’ is an example of Logistics’ very real talent and is a welcomed addition to his impressive repertoire of drum & bass classics. Quantity, quality and a fierce musical character is everything we have come to expect from this Hospital staple.

Tik&Borrow return with their first EP release on In:flux since their chart topping album 'Neurality' at the back end of 2017. Since then the duo have been away refining their sound and working with such labels as Souhtpoint, Low Pitched, Articulate and Rico Tubbs' Bass=Win.

Here the pair are showcasing the Dubstep vibes they've been developing on their In:flux remixes for Fiyahman, Sekt-87 & Nekst as well as their tracks on their Free Dubstep series. 

The grime influence tones of 'Arkham' are all hard hitting drums and wubs that has been making dents with pull ups on Rinse FM and 1Forty Live.

Three years since his last solo release on Diffrent, the label boss returns with a spicy serving to match the summer heat!

‘Fajita’ starts off sparse on the drumwork, letting the wiggling, warping bassline flip the dancefloor on its head. That is until Dexta turns up the gas in the second half, dropping in a thumping four-to-the-floor kick and subtle break to see out proceedings with a sizzling energy.

‘Amethyst’ is collaboration based on an original track by Lucent, and finds Dexta at his most Diffrent. Like the soundtrack to a bout of deep-space madness, an off-kilter beat pattern (watch out for this one DJs!) meets sharply oscillating low-end, robotic growls and an eerie, half-heard vocal.

Howitzer fires off two high-powered, 160bpm weapons for Sweetbox, returning to the Diffrent Music sister label for his second solo outing, after the success of last summer’s ‘Blackjacks’.

Lead track ‘Lemonhead’ rains down a fiery combination of militant drumwork and oppressive bass stabs. There’s an atmospheric tension and relentless quality to this one that’ll have ravers hooked from the first stomp of the kick drum to the outro’s last smouldering crackle.

‘Foundry’ takes a similar sound palette but approaches via a more sleuthy route. Sludgy low-end pulses meet a plodding beat, with each mean step chained together by the kind of yawning groove that can’t fail to have shoulders dropping in the dance.

Both tracks will be available digitally from Friday 22nd November, with a super limited run of 10” pressings available at the Clashmouth Drum & Bass Label Market on Saturday 9th November

To close out a wicked 2019 for In:flux Audio, we've decided to pull together 10 tracks from artists both old and new to the roster to bring you 'Free Dubstep Volume 3' just in time for that much needed Christmas stocking filler.

Ali McK & IYZ return for their third outing on the series, as does Hamdi and label founders Tik&Borrow. Dystinkt also makes a welcome return to the series in preparation for his debut EP on the label in early 2020, whilst In:flux regular breaks his Dubstep cherry here with an absolute blinder entitled 'Drips and Drums'.

This time around we have plenty of newcomers to series, with debut tracks from Mungk, Panix, SHVA, Thompson and last but not least Emti, who will be making is debut EP bow on the label in 2020.
