He blows the miniscule specks of pollen away, but the static electricity doesn’t make it an easy task. People go back and forth on the swings that hang from the majestic plane trees and dirty feet engage in tribal dancing. I've been talking to the water for 25 hours and I don't want the journey to end."

André Pahl (@andrepahl)(Berlin) is known for his Safari mixes—pitched down cinematic journeys through uncharted seas, forbidden deserts and distant galaxies. His sound tends to oscillate between psychedelic trips, spaced out electronics and voodoo percussion, exploring the slowed-down heartbeat of danceable music. Listening to André Pahl’s sets is like being compelled to push yourself inside a forest even though you know it'll be dangerous — head first, then the whole body, submerged deep into a strange jungle world, partly solid, partly made of shimmering liquids.

The next episode of the residency comes from Baltimore-based musician PJ Dorsey, also known as Tarotplane on his solo project. 

Dorsey's path walks across a wide range of music influences that have made him built his very own sonic viewpoint. His albums blend everything we love about guitar sounds with electronic experimentation, sometimes with a more traditional psychedelic rock approach, in way of creating timeless and captivating musical excursions. 

The inspiration for his mix came from one of the last places he visited before covid hit in early 2020.

'Its a photo of the interior of the Glenstone Museum, outside of Washington DC. It looks like a piece from James Turrell but im not sure it actually is.
Looking at the sculpture, you can see the sky outside. Sort of a portal into another world. Looking at this photo now, its meaning for me is about coming out of the darkness of that Covid time represented into a time of hope. Im not sure we are completely out of the cave but hopefully heading in that direction. This mix is the sound of my melancholy. A bittersweet beauty. Sad, but optimistic. Much has been lost but i hope more will be gained.' - PJ Dorsey

36 sleeping cycles narrate fragments of memories of a hazardous exploration. A vaporous mission with no distinct objective other than lying on our backs facing a gas planet and let pieces of yesterday, today and tomorrow live for a moment. A nap session, post-punk, 80’s songs and synthetic anthems that purr with tender melancholy and caress the sweetness of lost and rediscovered times. Here is about **two hours** of selection thought for the escape.

The entanglement of worlds might be one of the most important ideas and revelations that are shaping the cosmology of our era. A realization both of the dissolving of boundaries, borders, and limits and the growing complexity of bonds that hold us together as individuals and as collective entities. The borders of our own bodies, of the spaces we inhabit, of layers of time superposing, become a porous and sticky element where interiority becomes global, frontiers are set in by state brutality, and ghosts arise. Borders cannot be perceived as delimited lines but as a rich and tumultuous creator of trouble, life, and force. This immersive session curated by Diego Delgado is not strange to this contemporary topos and is derived from a porous sensibility made of loops, distortion, and noise that translate a nonlinear idea of time. Condensed in an hour, ‘Step a cross the border’ is an invitation through sound to inhabit a sensitive space built upon the desire of blurring boundaries that extends to musical genres and technical limits. A space inhabited and repossessed by lost times, future sounds, and dense imaginaries of the in-between. 

Diego Delgado is a graphic designer and visual artist. He was born in Madrid and had been living in Berlin since 2018, where he started his own music project under the name of CICCONE. For years, he has been filming live music and artist portraits that have shaped an extended and aesthetically variated archive of Berlin’s music scene, all hosted on his web octubre.tv
