AWood curates electrifying sets spanning techno, trance, house and breaks. They have showcased their music at festivals such as Shambhala and Re-Union, and have shared the stage with renowned house and techno artists across Canada. AWood has signed and self-released multiple EPs and singles over the past year while remaining committed to nurturing the local scene and volunteer teaching in their home studio in Vancouver BC. They are inspired by all of the moments they have shared on the dance floor throughout their life, especially under the stars in the Pacific Northwest.

Speedy percussion meets screwface basslines: the Parisian club maestros are in session. 

Trying to find one word to describe the music of Amor Satyr and Siu Mata could run you into difficulty. But if we were to try, we'd reach for amphibian: slippery, nimble and evading borders with ease.

With solo and shared releases on labels like SSPB, HARDLINE, TraTraTrax and their own WAJANG, they have evident kinship with what moves contemporary dance floors. The pair are also linked to the rise of an alchemical style they like to call "speed dembow"—taking the looping rhythm of dembow before pitching it up to modern club tempos and adding muscle.

Combining tribal techno, baile funk, dubstep, jungle, dancehall and beyond, their RA Podcast makes for one hell of a ride, with over two hours of romping percussion, lysergic effects, high drama and plenty of wobble.

We continue our podcast series with Blawan & Pariah, who are back to curate The Pit for the second year in a row!

In a wide-open conversation, they share their experiences of the past and highlights of the future, giving an insight into what makes The Pit unique.

As chaotic as the stage itself, we go from heel to branch as we dive into a lively conversation, touching on their careers, how Draaimolen fits into the mix, and the fragility of being in the programmer's seat.

The host of this podcast is Chanel Kadir, Draaimolen’s external PR officer who has been working with the team since 2023. Outside of that, she works across many different creative platforms within the music sphere including editorial-led platforms such as Untitled 909 and wav.world. She's also the co-curator of the F1-focused mix series G-FORCE and host of radio residencies across Netil Radio and Refuge Worldwide.

This podcast is edited and composed by Tilburg music producer Ramses3000, also known as multidisciplinary artist Yannick Verhoeven. Incorporating ambient, jazz, new age and psychedelic music, the classical and digital worlds meet in Yannick's sonic world. He has recently released his new album 'Thalamus' on Intercept Records, for which he spent three months in a monastery with the aim of composing music that helps the listener to relax and process the stimuli of everyday life.

It felt like a perfect opportunity to share a style that plays a big part in my slowing down process. As I've delved deeper into understanding my own personal mental health journey, I've come to appreciate the importance of taking time out and embracing the wind down. As a DJ and partygoer, striking a balance is crucial while keeping happiness and well-being at the forefront. I wanted to create something that can help people unwind, switch off, and carve out some space amidst the ever-growing noise. Locks is a Manchester-based DJ who frequently pushes the boundaries of his taste and sound. As a resident at Blasha & Allatts' queer techno party, Frixxxion, he is known for his dynamic house and techno selections and his playful, energetic presence behind the decks. He has connected with dance floors across the UK, including Manchester’s White Hotel and D.B.A, and more recently internationally at Fuchs2 in Prague. Locks frequently appears in Manchester’s local scene, with recent sets at events such as Meat Free, Frixxxion, HØL & Tiribä. Experience a different side to Locks with this 60 minute wind-down mix.
