No strangers to Viper, Ekko & Sidetrack team up once again with the beloved Ruth Royall for “The Light”, the first single off their highly anticipated debut album.

The pair previously teamed up with the Bristolian songstress on fan favourite “Paper Birds”, a track that has stood out since its release for its illustrious soundscapes and enchanting vocals. Now, working together once again, you can rest assured the result is nothing short of magical.

Setting a slightly somber scene, Ekko & Sidetrack masterfully build up the tune in complexity and feeling while Ruth Royall’s distinct vocals draw the listener in eagerly. Gentle yet pensive, “The Light” is an uplifting ballad with an energetic drop that will make it both a festival circuit and headphone listener favourite.

With the news of their debut album finally revealed and such a powerful first taste, it goes without saying that there is plenty more from Ekko & Sidetrack in 2023.
