These are the inspirations for Liquid Modern's "Autumnal Bliss".

Inspired by Swedish pop, the disco sounds of the 70s, and 60s chanson pop, Liquid Modern attempts to condense the myriad emotions surrounding this time of year into a bite-sized 15 minutes.

While most people have a strong opinion about their preference between Teen Titans or Teen Titans Go!, one thing we can ALL agree on is that "The Night Begins To Shine" is a masterfully written song originally by Carl Burnett, Frank Enea, and William J. Regan (later termed B.E.R.).

Liquid Modern offers their take on this powerful track with their unique brand of synthwave-adjacent retro feels made whole by Kojette's beautiful soaring voice. This song will definitely make you move!

The driving beat and deep bassline are the perfect backdrop for the purposefully forlorn way in which the tender vocals are delivered by Kojette. A great track for activity or peaceful contemplation.

Much of modern life is filled with interactions through digital interfaces which simulate the antiquated face-to-face interactions of yesteryear, yet, in reality, they constitute a world of smoke and mirrors.

Liquid Modern's reimagining of @joewalshofficial 's "A Life of Illusion" features electronic instruments, such as synthesizers and drum machines, rather than the rock band instrumentation used in the original version. The electronic production lends a more modern and polished sound to the song, while the message and melody remain unchanged.

This version of the classic track includes some elements of synthwave intertwined with ambient soundscapes which create a dreamy, hypnotic atmosphere in the midst of the upbeat rhythm section.

Kojette's naturally delicate vocals are processed in a way that makes the voice seem like it is reaching out from the depths of an electronic mainframe in an attempt to help you break free of this technicolor hallucination.

Overall, their version of "A Life of Illusion" brings Liquid Modern's genre-bending style and a retro-modern energy to the classic rock song!

Decided to try out a differnt workflow setup for this track by creating only 5 synth tracks in my DAW and purely using those to create everything you hear.  The video footage is from an English documentary series called the Electric Office.

Here is an eclectic anomaly for your perusal: A sonic journey with twists and turns through an alien world 

Honestly, the idea for Jovah started after roaming around Gerudo Desert for too long. Armed with the phrygian mode, a drum sample and the high lead, it took on a life of its own.  I was definitely going for a 60s science fiction vibe after listening to Cal Tjader for a few days.  As the song took shape, it brought up specific visions of what the "story" would be.  

Lots of different influences abound in this one.

"Sketches" is an eclectic playlist of our songs that, like visual artists, served as practice, inspiration for other works, or just a way to let off steam.  The great masters did some of their most honest work in their sketches exactly BECAUSE they were unpolished.   

Rather than letting them languish in the forgotten corners of a hard drive, we thought we'd let these tracks see the light of day. These partially formed ideas still have an unwritten future, but for one reason or another, never found their way back into the rotation of mixing, adding vox, etc. yet.  They may remain here; they may get worked on; they may become our greatest hits. 

The future will tell!

Hushed Force

Here's a little toe-tapper for ya that you can take in your ears and go about your daily this n that.  A rather simple piano progression unfolds into an uplifting hip hop beat but WAIT there's more.  It morphs and devolves into some watery vaporwave-esque meandering before bringing it all back to the bounce of the beat.  Hope you enjoy this one.

Liquid Modern seeks to imbue the nostalgia of the past with the feelings of remorse and sadness that should accompany them. The raw, airy vocals and smooth electronic sounds created by this husband and wife duo of Lord Kojak and Kojette seek to bring emotion into soulless pop tunes. 



Whether it is their reimagining of classic songs or the forward thinking production of their originals, Liquid Modern will not be complacent in one genre as there is a world of musical styles to explore!
