Farhannah won AVA Festival’s Emerging DJ competition in 2020 and will be performing at AVA in September. She has always had a love for 70s and 80s music and started off DJing disco. As she’s grown as a DJ she has also developed a taste for techno and more tribal sounds.

Last Friday, January 26, Toto Conti, producer and DJ from Constitución, began this musical year with the launch of his most recent work, “AMARIZAJE EP” corresponding to his
second solo album, which features the graphic participation of artist Yeikob2019 and mastering by Rainer Scheffelt from Berlin, Germany.
Amarizaje EP brings us an experimental proposal that contains six tracks; (“On its own axis” with video clip, the homonymous “Amarizaje”, “Alarm” that has a visualizer, “Problem solution”, “Lunar cycle” and “That sensation”), which take us on a journey through the proposal “maritime space” in which various musical styles are covered such as Deep House, Breakbeat, Latin House, Acid, Ambient and Minimal. Toto Conti, who closed his 2023 year with participation in the “Latitudes” program produced by Southplug and Canal13c, begins 2024 with this interesting proposal that invites us to immerse ourselves in the most remote places of the Pacific Ocean.

With things turning for the warmer and the feel of spring in the air we look to a long-time friend of the shop whose releases we've stocked on the shelves, Mr 'Sam Pills' for a feel-good deep house rollout, which is the backbone of what Sam's curated podcast is all about. You can expect organic percussion, beautiful Rhodes chords and plenty of hip-moving swing. Just over an hour to get your ears into this smoothly executed mix.

Sam will be hosting a night highlighting his label and his deep house sound halfway through August so please keep an eye out for that one, promises to be a goodie.

"So the concept with the mix was to journey from daytime through the night and ending up with the sun coming out. Rather than litter it with my own productions I thought I'd showcase the different types of House music that I enjoy, starting a bit Jazzy and then filtering through some Garage leaning stuff before heading into Afro domains."
