Acclaimed producer Theory Hazit presents 6 select remixed songs from Libretto & Vitamin D's collaborative album, Rusty Bladez.

Given Vitamin D's outstanding production on the original LP, reaching out for remixes was a tall order for any producer. But, Theory Hazit's unique swing and precise chops proved the perfect pairing with Libretto's raps & subject matter. Theory imbued each track with his signature flavor and was able to tap into the core elements of the songs to give them new sonic twists, all while maintaining their conceptual integrity and emotional weight.

Known also as an emcee, Theory added an excellent verse to "Never Enough" so that all three artists, Libretto, Vitamin D, and Theory Hazit's voices are now represented on the track.

Taken together, all six remixes on the LP showcase not just Theory's ability to make a hot beat, but also his ability to fully reimagine a project and give it a fresh cohesive feel.

SG stands for supergroup. The quintet plays jazz with a hip-hop state of mind. Classically trained jazz musicians – multi-instrumentalist Idris Frederick, Patrick Denney on bass, Anthony Keenan on guitar, Noah Reed on alto and tenor saxophone – are jamming with certified rap cats. Their first album ‘SGJAZZ Vol. 1’ was released on Jakarta Records, for their new project, SGJAZZ have signed with Melting Pot Music. SGJAZZ are putting their idea of forward thinking and headstrong jazz into action without neglecting the groove.

LA MC Kid Abstrakt drops second single Still Dreaming’ from his forthcoming album on Melting Pot Music.

The young MC from Los Angeles, CA represents the jazzy 90s rap sound like no other in 2023. Not only on the Westcoast but internationally, Kid Abs is keeping the legacy of A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul & Pharcyde alive and relevant by using it as a source of inspiration to tell his own story. 

Born in LA to a Brazilian mother and a Nicaraguan father, Kid Abstrakt started out as part of local trio Revolutionary Rhythm before releasing his first album ‘Daydreaming’ in 2017, produced by The Deli from Austin, Texas. With a growing fanbase overseas Kid Abstrakt started working with producers and bands like Cap Kendricks (Germany), Emape (Poland) and Jazzbois (Hungary).

With ‘Still Dreaming’ Kid Abs has chosen the bossa tinged title track from his forthcoming album, releasing on May 12th. The album is entirely produced by Leo Low Pass from Amsterdam. Leo's signature sound of jazzy boom-bap and lofi beats provides the perfect backdrop for Abs positive and skillful rhymes.
