Here at Soulvent Records we’re pleased to announce a new compilation album, the 2nd instalment in the Soul Sessions series. With brand new and exclusive tracks from our current roster and returning names, Soul Sessions Vol. 2 further showcases the dynamic and forward-thinking music that we’re all about! Following the release of Pola & Bryson’s debut album, the pair deliver a stellar remix of Dualistic’s ‘Brave’ while other label familiars include the likes of GLXY, Arch Origin and Phaction. The LP also sees debuts for some of the most exciting new talents on the scene InMost, Aperio, Identify and Akranes. Soul Sessions brings forth familiar names such as Nexus & Tight and Phloem along with a boatload of new school ﬂavour, with material from artists across the board including music from South African native, Fearbace, Bristol-based Imba, and the big boys from LA - Consouls. Next weekend, we welcome the return of one of the leading duos in drum & bass as Spectrasoul play Room Two. They’ve been keeping busy since they last joined us, with last year’s killer 'How We Live' LP landing on their Ish Chat label. They’re now dropping remixes of album tracks 'Burst' and 'Say What' on a new EP featuring Calibre, so they sent over their glistening mix of 'Say What' for us to share. Speaking of how the remix came together, they told us:

“We'd always thought that 'Say What' would lend itself to a nice D&B remix, so when the vocalist Madi said that she had composed some nice piano chords, we got to work. The original vocal took on a completely new vibe once it was sitting on the new chords, so we stripped everything back and focussed on that late-night, sultry vibe and it just grew from there...”
