The follow-up to last year's 'NQ State of Mind' mix project is headed by two of The North Quarter's most enduring artists: Redeyes and Fox. Mixtapes represent an important symbol of the formative years of many of the artists on this Amsterdam-based label and so it's only right that the tradition is continued by Redeyes and Fox, who both have a long history as music enthusiasts. Consisting solely of TNQ music - including 10 exclusives - this is NQ State of Mind, Vol 2.

  Throughout 31 tracks, mixed by 'smooth operator' Redeyes and backed with Fox's uplifting vocals, this is a journey through The North Quarter's five year catalogue. All artists that make the label the respected entity it is today are featured as well as some unexpected faces. The 10 exclusive tracks will be released on a 2x12” gatefold LP to accompany the mix.

Jonathan Campbell and Tom Alston, aka GLXY, are back! Fresh from releasing on Soulvent Records earlier in the year the two release the stunning 4 track EP ‘Expressions & Impressions’, via Spearhead Records. 

The London based team deliver a solid collection of rollers with the EP, giving a true insight into the slick and refined bass sound they’ve orchestrated in the short time they’ve been producing. Title track, ’Expressions & Impressions’, features the soothing vocals of Peta Oneir, blending perfectly with reserved piano chords. The haunting rhythm and tone introduce restless counter melodies crescendoing to a raw, bass driven, chest-thumping drop. 

The intelligence in GLXY’s production shines through in tracks like ‘Seductress’ and ’Remember To Forget’, where they showcase the soulful & deep sides of drum and bass. 

Having been cited as ‘Ones To Watch For 2016’ by UKF at the start of the year, UK drum & bass duo GLXY are creating a real buzz with their soul-drenched style of production. 

Alongside their work in the studio, GLXY have also been notching up DJ sets across the UK with their creative and style-switching approach to mixing, most notably at a number of Hospitality events amongst some of the most respected names in D&B. - London Elektricity, LSB, Murdock and Hugh Hardie to name a few. 

Undoubtedly set to become a familiar name as the years progress, the smooth and richly melodic tones of GLXY are impossible to ignore.
