The Weird Museum

What started out in 2005 as a side project between two friends and some toy keyboards, has now grown into a legitimate band, a unique live show and a record company. Only one toy keyboard remain, but all the joy and energy of true bitpop are still there! In a genre more and more controlled by computers, Liquid Ham decided to be a regular band, where everything is played live as long as there are hands and energy left. The last often lasts just enough for one concert – Liquid Ham shows that you don't have to have guitars to do a fierce gig!

For the first years, Liquid Ham played covers from famous video games but with their own, distinctive sound. A lot of effort was put on making the shows something out of the ordinary, for example by adding powerful intros with coreography. The fact that their only original song "Space Race" was by far the most popular, inspired the band to begin writing tunes for a debut album in 2008. "Rumble in Vilnius" was finally released in april 2010, introducing a whole new bitpop genre: bitrock. On ”Rumble in Vilnius”, the band has developed their unique sound even further, a sound based on among other: a Theremin, a Yamaha DX7, a Casio SK-1 and a Commodore 64.
Just like in old video games, where you could find songs from totally different genres – only in electronic versions, the record contains both waltz, hip hop and funk vibes, along with the energetic bitrock tunes. And if that wasn't enough - it's also a concept album, evolving around a video game story created by the band, where every song represents a level! The band is now taking it one step further: by adding graphics from the Commodore 64 to their already well-crafted shows, the audience gets to experience the game live!
