During an automnal week-end in the volcanos, after setting fire to a battery in a field at sunset, having a night infused with red wine and candles while having witchy talks, Lisa and Tryphème drew an ode to the melancholy brought by the sweet & gloomy fall season, and the introspection that arises from it.

After their first release in February of last year and Amor Fati’s debut EP in November 2022, Last Love Records are back with a new VA compilation out on March 24th, titled « Somebody Held Me Too Close ».

This new compilation is darker and more club-oriented than the first one, but still featuring a hefty dose of emotional heartbreak tales and pop anthems. The project features tracks by KimberlaiD, bdstf, Technopagan, ACAB@_@ROOKIE, digifae (Diana Starshine + Galen Tipton), Lisa More, ELOI, salome and more ; and draws from the following prompt :

SousTraitance Label, one of the many representatives of Lyon's scene resurfaces from the depths with Masterbep'. The third installment in their compilation series dances on the fringe of the current yet futuristic club scene, echoing the eerie beauty of organic sounds emanating from reptilian, xenomorphic entities. 

Featuring as usual up-and-coming French and international Producers (Trois-Quarts Taxi System, Rxex, Smogo, Anta Doma, Orchid, Homelander, Marmo), this seven-track CD fuses elements of halftime DnB, entrancing psychedelic techno, gravity-defying dub uk, nebulous IDM and razor-sharp breakbeats. Bad Tips continues its streak of innovation with RAVL's "Archives EP". Oscillating between Lyon and Marseille, RAVL showcases a break and melancholic universe that skillfully blends analog warmth, icy percussions, and a meticulous sound design.

The EP opens with the dreamlike techno-break journey of "Archives" seamlessly transitioning between bittersweet melancholy and convulsive rhythms. "Doomsday Clockmakers" takes the listener deeper into emotional terrain, punctuated by a nihilistic voice and a nebula of beastly percussion.

Remixes by Hyas, Lisa More, and Pura Pura offer diverse perspectives, each adding a unique layer to the sonic tapestry.
