"Pulling Away" is the second single off of my debut EP, "The Lisa Heller Project". After working with a label on several electro-pop releases, I realized following the industry rules (commercial sound, heavy makeup and hair) just wasn’t for me. But being independent for this project, I finally feel free. I’ve been able to hone in on a much more vulnerable sound than I ever thought I could. Focused on vocals and piano, this raw sound and feel are intertwined with my personal struggles with anxiety, isolation and uncertainty. I’ve gone to great depths to share a part of myself in each of the songs. I am so excited to release this new music, with videos to follow! "Pulling Away" is about drifting apart from those I feel closest to.
