A name that many have been eagerly anticipating the next moves of, Dahu, has finally shrugged off his elusiveness and stepped out of the shadows. Emerging onto the scene with his much accredited debut EP ‘Deep in the Woods’, the young artist has set high standards for himself and looks set push off even further within the scene with his latest EP ‘North’. 

‘North‘ is a dark, moody affair that features two originals and a remix from Nick Devon each screaming with attitude. 

Title track ‘North’ upholds the feeling of the EP, full of energy and yet enigmatic in its dark undertones. Haunting synth lines circulate around a bellowing bassline, whilst glass bells and falling keys give added texture and atmosphere to this murky tale. 

Nick Devon steps up with his take on ‘North, with a remix that sharpens the elements of the original. Expertly balanced kickdrums lay against finely tuned hi-hats to give this remix a more classic house vibe. 

Closing the book is ‘How Do They Know’, a delicately deep track that seals the deal at the end of the night. Backed by a structured bassline that sits below sub, synth stabs become more and more melodic whilst strong piano chords fuel the emotion.

MÖWE is a recently founded project by the Vienna based artists Mel and Clemens, who previously played together in the band Mary lost her Pathos. While the duo’s indie roots still shine through in the song writing, MÖWE’s sound is largely electronic and best described as melodious and emotionally uplifting. Here, on SVT119, they present two of their outstanding productions, while Björn Störig contributes a beefy remix. 	

The title track ‘Inside’ focuses on harmonic piano and guitar hooks that float over a bouncing beat and crisp percussion. As the duo’s heartbreakingly beautiful vocals climax in a bass-driven chorus, we find ourselves lost in a sea of bewitching sound. ‘Seven Days’ is then introduced by delayed vox and drops into an airy arrangement backed-up by Mel and Clem’s longing voices. Stunning! Lastly, SVT mainstay Björn Störig gives ‘Seven Days’ the dance floor treatment by pitching down the original’s vocals and laying them over an elastic deep house bassline.

Three months on from his truly historic 5-hour marathon set at the open-air Tres Aguas venue in Cordoba, Argentina at the start of 2012, UK legend John Digweed looks back and then forward as he prepares to share the magic and indulge those not fortunate enough to attend that unforgettable January night. 

So unbelievably special was the occasion both for John and the thousands of party-goers who bore witness that on 30th April, the Bedrock head-honcho will release his brand new triple CD package Live in Cordoba, giving Digweed fans across the world the chance to experience and reminisce upon what was, in his own words, one of the best party atmospheres [hes] ever experienced.

Complete with two Live Mix CDs (1&2) and a third bonus disc featuring exclusive un-released and most importantly unmixed cuts from Digweeds bag, the Live in Cordoba triple long player captures so exquisitely the innate capacity John has for manipulating and executing sounds and continuously wowing a crowd for hours on end with impeccable record selection. 

CD 1 showcases John`s ability to set the mood with grooving house and forward thinking techno tracks with remixes from the likes of Agoria, Martin Buttrich, Robert Babicz, Dominik Eulberg, Stephan Bodzin and Subb_an. 

CD 2 sees John shift gears with chunky beats and driving techno from Maetrik, Alljacks, Oliver Lieb, Boys Noize & Erol Alkan, Nick Curly and Guy J, among others. 

CD 3 Sees John with his A&R hat on, compiling 10 fantastic, new and unmixed tracks from Sian, Pig&Dan, Dosem and an exclusive remix of Slam`s classic Eterna remixed by John Digweed and Nick Muir. 

"I could see from the reaction to my very first record that this crowd was there to party and were totally united under the stars, creating one of the best party atmospheres I have experienced in a long while. I played for over 5 hours and really didn't want to stop, as I was having so much fun. The label from Gipuzkoa Hall Of Fame (HOF) is in its best moment: "Insane" and "The Pianist" have been two of the season hits in Ibiza thanks to the support of names as big as Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Davide Squillace or Yousef among others. What's more, the public has awarded the work of Charles Ramirez and his crew with countless charts and downloads, which have drawn the attention of key sites like Resident Advisor or Beatport on several of the label's tracks.

Now has come the time for release #16, a collaboration between the label owner Charles Ramirez and Baum from Barcelona in an EP that oozes old-school sound through and through. "Fire Alarm" is a groove bomb spiced with an alarm sound. Either you love it or you hate it, although we can guarantee your dancefloor will adore it. "Strawbaby"'s based in the same idea; a powerful bassline and an attractive hook - a vocal sample this time, that goes on and on until seducing the clubber. Short, an EP which keeps the high HOF standards.
