A cinquain is a complicated rules poem, and this one is by the wonderful poet Moonie, who wrote me more verses when I said I heard a tune in it :) I'm now putting up the everso hissy recording (yes, that was me sighing at the start as it took soo long to get even this far!) so that St Denys and the Dolphins can hear it as part of the Sotonsongswapabout :)

The task for our songwriter's group this month was to go back to a song from your past...and re-writing it as felt right to you using the lyrics  (but not listening to the original song itself)
I fancy adding some cello or violin to this once I work out how, but it's really quite pretty I think! 
The song is Take On Me by A-ha, which came out just before I hit my teens I think ;)

Second song for this month's challenge! I adoorrrrre the Jane's addiction song, so it was a nightmare listening to it again afterwards!(I obeyed the rules, no youtubing til after the song's done ;) )
But it's a sweet little song, and I've learned more about how to carry words across musical phrases, well useful again! :)
