For the past years, we have been witness to Rodriguez Jr.’s musical love story in Paris with Liset Alea. Through lockdown, and beyond, their Paris studio was the home to 3rd album, “Blisss”, an iconic Beatport ReConnect live performance, and much more. After years of DJ'ing, I always felt like we could take it a step further. Karl Kling, Jeffrey Brodsky and I had been throwing around this idea internally and we finally did it. It's about as far from "pushing play" as you can get. The idea was to get up on stage with no idea what we're gonna play and create everything on the spot. Terrifying, but absolutely exciting.

ENTROPY of DUALITY

Liset Alea, born in Cuba and raised in Miami, has spent the past 20 years living in Europe, embodying a culture-fluid cosmopolitan lifestyle. She first gained prominence fronting the Parisian bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague, captivating audiences worldwide with her serene and emotional voice. Concurrently, she released a series of electronic music tracks in collaboration with notable producers such as Rodriguez Jr, Patrick Topping, Alexkid, and Audiojack.
Recently, Liset has returned to Miami to soak in the sunshine and embark on new adventures from a tropical perspective. Her multicultural background and linguistic versatility allow her to effortlessly switch between English, French, and Spanish, enhancing her rich, worldly pop sound. As a chanteuse and multi-instrumentalist, Liset Alea combines delicate vocals and subtly catchy melodies, creating a multi-cultural exotica atmosphere. Her style evokes the breathy, minimalist charm of Françoise Hardy with a latin pulse.
