She was lonely as she strolled amongst the city streets. The sound of shutters rolling as shopfronts were closed for the evening, the honk of horns as people whizzed between traffic lights in the hope of beating the rush hour on the freeway. There was fog in the air, there often was around this time of year as the nights became colder and the evenings darker.

Billboards illuminated the street corners. Some looked up mesmerised by the bright array of dazzling colours as they flashed and flickered. Things people didn't want or need but would come to acquire anyway. That's the way the world worked right?

She was often lonely, from time to time she'd find a shadow or a friend which might be something to hold on to. But no sooner than they were there they would be gone.

Lis Sarroca releases a new EP via Smallville Records - a delicately poised collection of house music and breaks with the usual class associated with the label.

Hailing from Barcelona, Lis Sarocca is an artist very much on the rise and her ever growing discography will go some way to explain why. She has starred on standout releases from the likes of MAAI, Tresydos, Smallville, Chiwax, Shall Not Fade, a vintage Mobilee entry, and the excellent collab between Anna Walls’ The Bricks and System Error. 

A regular fixture at some of Europe and America’s finest parties, she has written a line under a fantastic summer with a lauded performance at this year’s Dimensions Festival. There is no sign of the Spaniard turning in for the year as she continues to light up dancefloors wherever she appears.

Her recording for our InSession series is testament to this and her sunny disposition shines through in this mix as she guides us through bass heavy, breaky goodness, dubby deep house, with stop offs in wiggly disco heaters and more than a few wonky stations along the way.
