The weirdo underground live-house duo that is SHOUSE often invite local singers and musicians to collaborate when bunkered down in their Collingwood studio. New release “Love Tonight” is an amalgamation of this working environment, whilst being a cheeky parody and adorable homage to the classic ’80’s celebrity extravaganza that was Bandaid “We Are The World”. Assembling a choir of all the people that they have loved and admired in their local scene (Oscar Key Sung, Monte Morgan (Client Liaison), Bec from The Harpoons, HABITS, Pillow Pro and so many more!), Ed and Jack have delivered the type of number that champions unity and a shared sense of eternal wonder for the future! 

For remixes we have Mike Simonetti (Horse Meat Disco) delivering a dark acid heavy late night techno jam, DJ Seinfeld who eschews the hook altogether for a fun lo-fi belter, and Australian newcomers The Nights with a lusciously pulsating melodic mover. Theres also an exceptional Acapella mix with plenty of dance saxophone!

The warmth delivered on this song is arguably tangible! Showing a shared sense of compassion and a display of strength.

For its second release Houseum Records link up with Ricky Razu, whose renowned talents have quickly garnered him a great deal of attention within the global House scene. The Belgian reveals 'Cycles', a debut solo EP built to warm the body as the winter season approaches thanks to the four tracks pulsing with luminous and captivating beats.

‘Without U’ is a solid opener with strong deep and groovy tones. The catchy kick and sweet samples make it a proper dancefloor delight. The main title track 'Cycles' is a dynamic lullaby that sends waves of relaxation through you. The producer unveils a melodic house that blends perfectly with the high perched vocal.

The B side is just as enchanting - 'Crystal Height' is a true shot of your daily vitamin C with it's sunlit sequences. 'Hiding' lands in style, revealing a more breakaway house with dreamy synths. A touch of hypnotic grooves with an atmospheric rhythm, what more could we ask for?

Route 94 releases four quality minimal cuts on his newly launched Routine Recordings imprint this December. British producer Rowan Tyler Jones has accomplished a lot since learning to produce as a thirteen-year-old, including ubiquitous commercial success and an illustrious discography releasing on dance music’s most prestigious record labels like Virgin EMI, Rinse, Defected, Leftroom, Crosstown Rebels, and Hot Creations. However, on his Routine Recordings, the talented artist demonstrates his ability to produce niche sounds in line with the minimal and microhouse genres, echoing the halcyon days of imprints such as Perlon and Playhouse. Complete with incomprehensible yet soothing vocals, ‘Bada’ meanders forward with a compelling groove constructed by intricate percussion and sultry sub-bass.
