Yellowstone - Artist Paint Pots - mud pot + steam vents (No 305)

 This track is created by the Iowa Lakeside Lab Acoustic Ecology class from recordings made on 2 different outings. The naturesound was recorded at the Dugout Creek Wildlife Protection Area and the musical tones were improvised by members of the class in Arnold's Park at a public interactive sound sculpture park that we happened upon. Both of these areas are located in northwest Iowa near the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory Biological Field Research Station.

Sunday MASS December 3, 2020 - Mechanisms for Actualizing Speculative Soundscapes is a series of Live NaureSound experiments during the COVID 19 pandemic. As we head into the colder, winter months, this is my attempt to help bring a little more outdoors to our indoors.

This week's compositions are created with sounds recorded in Australia's Alpine National Park while I was artist-in-residence at the Bogong Center for Sound Culture located in Bogong Village in the mountains of Victoria, Australia.⁠

It's a positive reminder of some amazing traveling experiences along with a reminder of the exotic nature of sounds from unfamiliar places. ⁠
