The debut release, “ARTIFICIAL MALFUNCTION," is a testament to the ideology of EMBARGO placing a major focus on collaborations as a catalyst for unbridled creativity, as BEC joins forces with Bulgarian studio sorcerer KiNK. This dynamic collaboration forges an energetic, stripped, raw and pure soundtrack, potently woven with D&B inspired synths. “KiNK was playing on a Sunday in Berlin, we chatted after his gig and locked in a studio session for the following day. We were just looking to jam together and have some fun in the studio with my machines. In a matter of hours “ARTIFICIAL MALFUNCTION” was produced. A perfect start to the label's ethos: when minds converge, magic happens.

CLR Podcast 371 I BEC

We are thrilled to release our next 303 exclusive podcast coming Clint Stewart.
When we first saw this his name a few years back we were intrigued as we recognised it from the duo that is Safeword who have released on labels such as Culprit, Get Physical and Mobilee Records.
After listening to pretty much every mix and track on his soundcloud we were very much impressed with the direction of his solo career.
The way Clint can maneuver from deep house, tech house and dance floor orientated techno, he really does take you on a journey from start to finish.
San Francisco born and now living in Berlin, Clint is really pushing the boundaries and making a name for himself, releasing on labels such as Watergate and recently formed label from Pan-Pot, Second State. 
Clint is also playing an clubs and festivals around the globe, including, Watergate, Desert Hearts, Output, Kater Holzig and recently touring with Pan-Pot supporting them on their Second State Tour.
We knew as soon as we delved into his sounds we had to have him do a 303 mix and after much discussion the time has come.

Florian Kruse started his music career in 2007, with his first vinyl release on Stockholm's Heya Hifi.

Since then, Kruse has only grown as both a producer and a DJ. With Stel Vasiloudis and Nils Nuernberg, he became project Wiretappeur, with releases on Bedrock and a remix for label head honcho John Digweed. Nils Nuernberg quickly became his partner in crime, and together became the production duo Kruse & Nuernberg, their hypnotic Deep House sound making appearances on Liebe*Detail, Noir Music, and Rejected. In 2008 they started their own label, Save Room Recordings, that continues to grow on the underground scene.

A focus now on his own productions, Florian Kruse plunged into a solo career with a release on Anjunadeep, working together with his older brother Vincenzo and one of his long time idols Lisa Shaw. Followed by two releases on Noir Music together with singer Hendrik Burkhard and remixes by Noir himself, Eagles & Butterflies and Pleasurekraft.

Now, Kruse & Burkhard return, this time on Steve Bug's famed Poker Flat Recordings, with their latest, entitled "Move in Slow Motion". After last year's "We Own The Night," the duo continues the vibe with a main mix that exemplifies their masterful production skills. Dark and techy, the track builds and unfolds over seven glorious minutes. Out 12 February, we thought we would bring in Florian to provide a very special mixtape to coincide with the release, as well as picking his brain a bit regarding the creative process behind the Noir EP and his fruitful collaboration with Hendrik Burkhard.

BEC is a relentless techno talent who has got to the top in a very short space of time. She was head hunted by Pan Pot for their influential Second State label from her first release, then snapped up by Carl Cox's Intec and Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Not only has she put out her music on those labels, but has also played with them as a tour member at showcases everywhere from Burning Man to Tobacco Dock and Warehouse Project. Add in solo tours of North & South America, Asia, India and Europe and much talked about sets at Fabrik Madrid, Watergate Berlin and Sunwaves Romania, and you have one of techno's brightest contemporary stars.

As a self-confessed "studio geek" with a dizzying array of skills and knowledge, BEC has worked with industry giants Roland and Novation doing demos and product videos. This means she very much has her own trademark sound: her tracks are perfectly weighted, well swung and built on high pressure drums. Add in the spirit of where she resides, Berlin, plus powerful, all consuming bass and you have the key ingredients that make her music stand out. It is those same qualities that will define her brand new label BEC. Reserved purely for her own creative output, it will be the unrestrained sound of this innovative artist in all her majestic uncompromising glory.

As an accomplished and well travelled DJ, BEC is just as high energy and works non stop across three decks. She creates her own tension and dialogue between tracks that brings something new each and every time. By constantly weaving together heavy loops and remixing tracks on the fly, her dark and hypnotic sets keep people very much locked in the moment.
