I found myself in the bustling city, where towering skyscrapers touched the sky and neon lights painted the streets among the constant hum of the city. I felt captivated by an enchanting smile with magnetic energy that seemed like a beacon drawing me in. An inexplicable pull towards the mysterious force that connected our paths. In the understanding that life's tapestry is woven with threads of unpredictability we embarked on a journey of self-discovery, navigating the delicate balance between connection and solitude.

The enchantment of our initial connection morphed into a complex web of emotions and experiences. We navigated the highs and lows, weaving our own narrative into the unpredictable fabric of life. Life’s demands pulled us in different directions, and the bustling city that once felt like our playground became a labyrinth of challenges. The magnetic force that had drawn us together seemed to weaken despite our efforts to maintain the delicate balance. The neon lights that once illuminated our shared adventures now cast long shadows of uncertainty. 

Yet, amidst the challenges and uncertainties, a new found sense of liberation emerged. Each step away from a familiar one became a stride towards personal growth and self-realization. In solitude I discovered the strength to navigate unfamiliar terrain. With life demands, which had once threatened to pull us apart, became the catalyst for individual resilience and adaptation.

With a heavy heart and a deep sense of gratitude for the moments we had shared, I embraced the beginning of a new chapter. Life, much like the ever-changing urban landscape of the city, is a journey of beginnings and endings with threads of unpredictability that can lead to new adventures. 

Even if they mean letting go of the love that once felt inseparable.

The entropy the Sandcastle expressed indicated its unavailability to participate for very long, knowing its existence in that state is temporary. It will then echo into an afterlife full of antimatter enabling its continued existence. Every previous interaction between particles observed has never created or destroyed a single particle of matter without also creating or destroying an equal number. The physical symmetry seems impossible but the only way any amount of matter has been changed in the Universe has been to also change the Universe’s antimatter by an equal amount.

It is said that entropy always increases because it is more likely that it will, and with the increase comes the explanation of why time only roams in one direction. This also accounts for the irreversibility of natural processes, as they will always arrive at a state of equilibrium.
Is this the true explanation of its continued existence into the afterlife? Or could it be this is just its current place on one of the many simulated infinite Universes? When the Universe is perceived to be real and material, it doesn’t mean that it is so.

The children had learnt the ways of the forest and were now living amidst the labyrinth of waterways several years later. One day there was a deep rumble and they noticed a big stone rolling away which revealed a bone underneath surrounded by fungi.

The bone had an unusual shape and for hours they tried to figure out what animal it came from and they even dared to ask the question, is it human?

They never really came to a conclusion of where or who it came from but ever since then they noticed a little bit of luck each day. Their hunting and gathering became easier as they spotted what they needed much quicker. They also started experimenting with making musical instruments from material they gathered in the forest. With all this new luck they decided to call it the magic bone.

They always knew of dangers in the land they called home and had been in plenty of close calls with the unknown, but always knew to be on guard and be cautious. One day they finally completed all the musical instruments they need to play rhythms and melodies and after a few months’ time they were able to play beautifully. It was time for some fun!

Music was played all night and into the next morning. From then on, they had their musical ritual once a month. Over the next few months, they noticed the dangers of the forest diminished more and more.

Previously they had tried to defeat the dangers of the forest in small groups and even by themselves, but it was when they came together with one common goal that they finally started seeing results.

Most of the time, the story our brains generate matches the real, physical world but not always. Our brains also unconsciously bend our perception of reality to meet our desired expectations. 
If our brains are making up a story about reality, could our senses have flaws? Should we be looking for blind spots to acknowledge and become better thinkers. If reality is misperceived, we may not understand where an interpretation may have come from.
Introducing new knowledge and information changes our perception of the world and allows the brain to be a self-correcting machine. It is not fixed and it can be molded by new knowledge and information we get.

When you travel and explore other places and cultures you are taken out of your daily routine and into unfamiliar situations that give you an opportunity for adventure, discovery and to learn more about yourself. How much do you know about your own culture? When you immerse yourself in a new culture you quickly discover more about your own or how they are different. Sometimes it can be difficult to be mindful of your surroundings until you’re removed from them.

When you are miles and miles away from your belongings and your day to day it reduces distractions and allows you to invest the time in more personal experiences. There may be times where you get lost where you are and this will present new challenges and ways to overcome them and can result in a fun spontaneous adventure.

Wouldn’t it be great to have friends all over the world with different background and cultures? You may also find that you aren’t all that different after all. Traveling in a group or with a partner can help you recognize each other’s individual strengths. It can be a way to discover and new side of yourself or the people you are traveling with. It can be a great way to really get to know someone.

When you travel you can embrace the moment, live in the moment, enjoy it to the fullest without electronic distractions. Your phone’s camera may work but maybe you don’t have signal or Wi-Fi, that’s ok. Live with your surroundings for that moment in time.

Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t easy but it can be very rewarding and help you overcome some personal obstacles.

As the raindrops fell gently from the sky, I stood there, letting the cool drizzle kiss my skin. The memories flooded my mind, each drop bringing with it a recollection of a moment that had taken root deep within my heart. A subtle smile played on my lips, as if the rain itself was a reminder of something beautiful—a love that once ran deep within me.

The smile on my face wasn't just a reaction to the present rain but a reflection of the love that had weathered storms of its own. I found myself reminiscing the fragments of the past; as they were the foundations of who I would become. The raindrops, once gentle caresses, now felt like a cascade of emotions – each drop was love that had slipped through. Each drop was a reflection of the pain that left deep marks in my canvas with shadowy hues.

As I stood there, I couldn't escape the duality of the moment—the rain, a symbol of renewal, and the pain, a testament to the complexities of love. Yet, in pain, there was a strange beauty; a reminder that love and pain, despite its complexities, was a force that transformed and molded me and breathed life into my soul.

In the midst of the gentle rain, I felt a subtle shift within me. The memories, once a bittersweet symphony, began to harmonize with the present, creating a melody that resonated with hope. The rain, a symbol of renewal, started to wash away not only the physical traces of the past but also the lingering shadows of pain.

As I stood there, a realization unfurling within me – the pain from love was not a permanent stain but a testament to the resilience of the heart. Each raindrop, once a tear of sorrow, now sparkled with the promise of healing. The smile on my face, once a mask for the ache, transformed into a genuine expression of gratitude.

For this week’s podcast we have Steve-O also known as Steve Solorio with a tribute mix to the late ninety’s music group Uneaq! Formed in 1998 by vocalist Jessica Marquez and her brother Joshua Marquez who played guitar, bass, and keys. Also, part of the group was Andrew Lozano as the third and 4th member, which was his computer, that he used to add more elements to the music.

The group was originally a soulful jazz quintet with a splash of hip hop and later decided to completely change their style that was heavily influenced by the underground house music scene. All three were originally from the city of San Jose in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they started performing and gained experience locally, but soon enough they were touring across the US and also releasing an EP on world renowned OM Records. The Group ended up splitting in 2012 but you can find Andrew still working and releasing music under his own label Freqy Music Group as well as other various labels. Along with the label he offers mixing and mastering services.

Derived from my roots of progressive tribal house, I dug deep in my collection to play this set improvised live in a sequence featuring artists born in the sign of Aries: “The Aries star sign, born between March 21st and April 20th, are loud, proud, strong and brave.” Thank you Michael Liu for inviting me to join this Aries infused livestream in 2023. I had a blast! Listening to this mix reminds me to continue to source channels large and small that drive personal motivation and positivity. It is this energy that inspires and embraces us to tackle life’s obstacles and challenges with optimism. I hope you all gain strength from this session as I do.
