Plaisirs Sonores Records is thrilled to announce the release of the 'Dual EP' by dynamic producer, Kabi (AR).

Continuing our mission to deliver captivating soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music, this new release will be available on all major platforms from July 28th, 2023.

Kabi, known for his evocative soundscapes, returns with a two-track progressive house masterpiece. With previous signings on renowned labels like Replug and The Soundgarden, Kabi (AR) is no stranger to crafting tunes that echo within the soul and leave listeners yearning for more.

The 'Dual EP' aptly commences with the title track 'Dual,' a rolling progressive house number imbued with resonant synth work and infectious melodies. The tune, like its name suggests, plays on the duality of music - its capacity to energize and soothe, making it a versatile addition to any DJ's set.

Meanwhile, the second track, 'Spicy,' offers a darker, more intense experience. This peak time banger, loaded with hypnotic repetitive synths, is tailored for the throbbing pulse of the dancefloor. Its compelling rhythm and tantalizing progression are guaranteed to immerse listeners in an exhilarating sonic journey.

Label founders Hicky and Kalo are already advocates for this release. They shared their experience, stating: "We've played these tracks a few times at Stereo Montreal and New York with great success. They always work so well in a club setting. The reception has been fantastic, and we can't wait for the audience at large to experience these tunes."

'Dual EP' is a compelling testament to Kabi's musical prowess and a proud addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue. The EP encapsulates the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally resonant music that not only resonates with listeners but also shapes the future of progressive house music.

"Dudemile" EP marks the impressive debut of Uruguayan music producer Luciano Elvira on One Of A Kind, showcasing his unique blend of melodic soundscapes, deep pads, and groove rhythms. Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, Luciano brings forth a distinct musical style characterized by melancholic atmospheres that captivate listeners from the start.

Adding to the EP's diversity, the remixes by KYOTTO from Sri Lanka and Haen from India bring their own flair to "Dudemile." KYOTTO, a seasoned producer in the progressive house scene, infuses his remix with his signature style, enhancing the track's global appeal. Meanwhile, Haen, representing the vibrant music scene in India, brings a fresh perspective with his production skills, contributing to the EP's rich tapestry.

To close the year, we are gifting the labels followers with a very strong Zenebona showcase. The original track Svadhishthana, created during the successful Chakra Boogie event series, was inspired by the creative chakra point. Once again, Peter Makto expands his musical catalog with a unique sound that cannot be categorized compared to his other tracks. The EP also includes remixes by the Zenebona titans Matthew Sona and Liozen. Both remixes were made in the signature style of these two young talents. These three tracks form a very strong unit. Each track is prime-time and DJ-friendly, safe to play at parties. Thank you for your support in 2024, and we promise to bring the same high or even better high quality music in 2025!

Premiere: John Cosani - Only One [Hoomidaas]

Clubsonica Records opens the month of March by presenting a collaborative project from JFR and Lucas Zárate. Hailing from Argentina but currently calling Spain home, Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of progressive and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. Releases via All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Musique de Lune, and his own Secret Feelings imprint have been instrumental in showcasing the Barcelona's resident's borderless approach to production, in turn garnering support from Lee Burridge, Sebastien Leger and Nick Warren, amongst others. Meanwhile, also hailing from Argentina, Lucas Zárate has enjoyed similar success since first emerging in 2022. Much like JFR, Lucas would find a cohesive balance between progressive and organic house, an amalgamation of sound which would earn him the praise of Gorje Hewek, Modd and Nick Warren, while also highlighting his resume with offerings via Melody of the Soul, Peace Symphonies and Songuara. Having also recorded a four-track artist showcase for JFR's Secret Feelings, the duo now combines their extensive forces for Clubsonica and their collaborative debut ‘Siamba | Sambuka', alongside a remix from Matthew Sona.

Beginning with the colourful monochromes of ‘Siamba', the duo continues to explore the groovy organic blueprints from which they have made their names on. A DJ friendly intro sets the pace for swing heavy rhythms and panoramic melodies to layer a warm, chunky bassline. Carving out a fluid path into the break, anticipation is high as balmy atmospherics and exotic synth cascades highlight a well-crafted interlude, building melodic tension throughout, before a cosmic crescendo reveals an epic finale complete with shapeshifting synth lines and subversive chord changes. Beneath the utopian qualities of 'Siamba' lies the equally intriguing vibes of 'Sambuka'. JFR and Lucas expound their organic vision here, with alluring rhythms and hyperspace effects blanketing warm beats and precise percussive arrangements. Clever textural co-actions marry with wavy melodies, evolving with each successive pass, while a hypnotic break complete with deconstructed vocal samples and soulful musicality preludes an inventive finale.

The release concludes with Matthew Sona making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘Siamba'. Hailing from Hungary, Matthew Sona has found a way to create his own personal universe by exploring organic sounds and ultimately finding a place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music at a remarkably young age. With a contribution to Zenebona's Various Artists Sampler in 2023 marking his production debut, the Budapest resident would go on to forge a strong creative partnership with the label, recording four additional projects across the next calendar year, in addition to an impressive debut on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. With Eelke Kleijn and Hernan Cattaneo also being supporters of Matthew's work, the Hungarian continues to carve out his own path into 2025, making his Clubsonica debut with an excellent interpretation of ‘Siamba'. Bringing a contemporary state of mind, Matthew reassembles the themes from the original for his own uniquely energetic approach. Stepping decisively on the gas, it's a narrative of timely effects, haunting motifs and shapeshifting melodies which coax perfectly atop precise kick drums and charged grooves, for what results in a tastefully epic rendition that's perfect for a peak hour dancefloor.

Echo Dafts Mental is a deep dive into the hypnotic side of nu-progressive house, driven by a relentless groove and an electrifying vocal that pushes the energy into uncharted territory. The original is raw and untamed, with a unique vocal sample weaving through pulsating basslines and crisp percussion. Swirling synth textures rise and fall, creating a sense of controlled chaos—dark yet infectious, designed to send dance floors into a frenzy. Brazils André Gazolla delivers a remix that turns up the heat, refining the originals intensity into a high-energy, peak-time weapon. His version retains the vocal but twists it into something even more mind-bending, layering it over rolling bass and intricate drum programming. A tension-laced breakdown builds anticipation, leading into a powerful drop thats both hypnotic and explosive. The original version of 'Vrng Sqrd' sounds like Robag Wruhme (@robag_fm) sat down with Trentemoller (@trentemusic), the two had a couple of beers and headed off to the studio.
