Expression was definitely a burden to Awka as ordinary ways of communication just never seemed enough. As time went by, this need connect with others became an obsession and a search, in which digging new and old records could be a relief or a clue. By coincidence or fate, at the age of 15 Awka moved to Munich and got in touch with german electronic music culture, making the first contact with synthesizers and experimenting a whole new world of different music styles. A blended and unique cultural background was not the only result of this life and art experience. Finally, Awka found the means to reach out to others and to get his voice heard. It was clear the words were and couldn’t be enough as what was there to be said couldn’t be understood, but only felt.

Back to his home town, in Rio de Janeiro, Awka’s plans finally came out of paper as his career had it’s definitive start. After a few solo presentations, Awka formed the “Tenth Column” duo, which’s talent lead to the famous label party RIO ME residency and to performances on renowned gigs such as D-EDGE, Club 88, Warung Tour and RAWW X ROOM. On his current solo career Awka has been part of the crew that delivered the greatest electronic music carnival party ever seen in Rio - The “Bloco Ame”, also being a flashy name in Warung Closing Summer 2019, meeting Edu Schwartz, who would soon become his actual partner in starting his label: Words Not Enough.

Awka’s purpose is now fulfilled through his tracks and productions. On a new phase, his ways of connection are being reproduced by exponential labels such as Akbal Music, Lump Records, Pipe & Pochet, Seven Villas e Warung Recordings. Not to mention his 2 reinterpretations on the english band “Elder Island” tracks, which together sum up to 600.000 plays on spotify.

LineØrCircle has been behind the decks since he was barely toilet-trained, when he rifled through his parents’ vast and eclectic record collection and started experimenting with the controls on their old walnut-veneered record player. He grew up in a profoundly musical household, his parents being professional musicians who put him into classical piano and jazz guitar lessons from the moment he had enough motor control in his hands to hold a guitar pick.

He is nonetheless a completely self-taught DJ, buying all the necessary gear with money saved up from a part-time job as a dishwasher and learning by bringing a new piece of musical technology home, plugging it in, and pushing all the buttons until something happened. The first record he bought was a now-out-of-print EP of Anouar Brahem, Les pats du chat noir which includes “Leila au pays du carrousel”.

He began playing in local bars and clubs in his hometown of Beirut, getting his first break when the DJ called in sick at a local pub where he washed dishes. He soon blew up in Beirut and began playing in Decks On the Beach. He has since enjoyed immense success, blowing up dance floors across the globe (OK, OK, mostly around Venues in Beirut) to sold-out crowds. He has shared the decks with the likes of Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger, Kiasmos, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski to name a few.

He is also a prolific and respected producer, having released two albums and 10 EPs since he got up this morning. His most recent mega-hit track has been charted by every single fucking DJ listed on Resident Advisor and Discogs combined, with support from all the leading DJs signed to any label that ever mattered—plus his grandma.

LineOrCircle musical genres reflects his eclectic influences—from high-modernist integral serialism to jazz-funk fusion to Armenian epic poetry to oriental—all distilled down to pure, crystalline minimal techno. He’s not limited to minimal techno, instead combining disco, slow house, Ketapop, electronic and deep house to create a new sound that the entire staff of Pitchfork has been trying to name for the last year (the senior what-is-this-electronica-crap editor suggested “jigglestep” and then resigned in shame).

Recently, this guy has been collaborating with artists and producers to create “Living Room Sessions” - Beirut. A concept where the crowd can get intimate with the producers, inviting artists to play live and not mix on decks. He has been all over Europe and the MENA Region searching for new talents to boost this concept. LineOrCircle is now a sound explorer, a frequency designer and noise maker...

The Greek DJ/Producer, VieL, began his career in 1994 as a radio producer-DJ. After spending several years DJ’ing throughout the 00’s, in 2009 he began creating electronic music and started exploring sounds in Deep House, Electronica, and Deep Techno, since then his music has seen releases on some major labels such Tale & Tone, Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, and Hoomidaas Records.

Beschwingt durch die Renaissance der Musik in meinem Leben, kehrt auch die Unbeschwertheit zurück. Die nächsten Tage vergehen wie im Flug und sind geprägt von guter Laune. Ich verbringe viel Zeit mit alten Freunden, lache und genieße die Variationen der elektronischen Tanzmusik. Da das Wetter auch mitspielt, beschließen wir am Wochenende mal wieder ein Open Air zu besuchen. Schnell ist die passende Veranstaltung gefunden. Ein befreundetes Kollektiv will das Nötigste auf einen umgebauten Bollerwagen unterbringen und einen kleinen See außerhalb der Stadt beschallen. Eine Oase der Glückseligkeit von Freunde für Freunde ohne viel Schnickschnack und Brimborium. 
Als wir am See eintreffen, finden wir eine kleine Gemeinschaft zufriedener Menschen, welche mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht die Sonne genießen. Die eigene Stimmung ist nach dem ersten Kaltgetränk schnell Betriebstemperatur und das Tanzbein wippt schon mal. Lange hält es mich nicht auf der Picknickdecke. Die Musik hat einen magischen Einfluss auf mich, wie der Gesang der Sirenen. Unvermittelt zieht sie mich in ihren Bann und ich beginne zu tanzen. Noch gibt es keine definierte Tanzfläche, nur ein paar einzelne am Ufer verstreute Gestalten, die sich zaghaft rhythmisch bewegen. Für viele wäre dieser Anblick wohl unscheinbar und vielleicht sogar langweilig, doch für mich fühlt sich diese Szenerie einfach richtig an. 

Für alle Rave Romantiker unter euch hat Erdi Irmak eine deep story kreiert, die dieses Gefühl der Unbeschwertheit an einen lauen Sommertag perfekt transportiert.

In 1982, Hiroyuki Kajino started his career as a professional DJ, performing as a resident DJ on Saturdays at Nishiazabu "TOOLS BAR" that became the epicenter of the club boom in Japan then. 
He produced the club "ANOTHR WORLD”, the first house music club in Japan. 
In 1988 Hiro played at CHOICE NY with the legendary DJ, Larry Levan. 
After coming back to Japan, He was invited as the resident DJ at GOLD, the first large-scale club in Japan. 
Producing the record shop "OM RECORDS” equipped with very high-quality sound system, Hiro carefully selected vinyl as a professional DJ. 
It was a one-of-a-kind record shop where many prominent DJs came to buy records. 
1990 Hiro played as a resident DJ at CAVE Shibuya, a former club of SPACE LAB YELLOW, 1991 Continued to play at SPACE LAB YELLOW as a resident DJ.
1996 Released “KOTE MOUN YO EP” from King Street NY, collaborating with the famous Jazz pianist Masabumi Kikuchi. 
The record was remixed by Francois K and Joe Claussell, Supported by famous clubs such as Shelter and Body & soul. 
1997 Produced a used record shop REAL MUSIC RECORDS at Shibuya. 
2003 Produced a next-generation record shop Stylus at Shibuya. 
2007 Started an online record shop OPTIMO, and its design of the website got a Gold award of One Show Interactive e-commerce department. 
2019 Released "Playground #1" from All Day I Dream.
