Glass Animals - Heat Waves (FarFlow Bootleg) [Free Download]

We’ve scoured the globe and unearthed four more golden nuggets for part 2 in our Nuggets series and we’re ecstatic to be able to finally share them with you.

pyxis and Iris have joined forces and created something very special with ‘Imaginary’. Otherworldly sci-fi twinkles, twisting, contorting bass notes and halftime wood block snares lure us into their world of magic and wonder. Pure alchemy when atoms collide.

‘Rain Tribe’ has our Sri Lankan connect Iyre collaboring with stateside artist Alpha Rhythm for a far more earthly affair. Distance be damned, these two have worked in perfect sync to conjure something truly spiritual. This one has proper mediation vibes.

‘Heartbeat’ finds Budapest’s Higher (than) gliding and soaring with her strings and bass, transporting us above the clouds, where the world is at peace. A magical ride.

Last up is a remix of pyxis’ Innerspace, courtesy of Kublai. The battle of light and dark remains a continuing theme in this version. The ingredients are the same but for a pinch of jungle. King Tubby once proclaimed “every object casts a shadow. It is there you find Dub” and that is the philosophy of what makes a remix that Kublai has applied here to create a dream like version of his own.

IYRE X Alpha Rhythm - Rain Tribe

@djdirtykkkk and LJC (@viasorifer) turbocharge Japanese Hyper Techno into overdrive, carving their own Hi-NRG, electrifying vision of East-Asian club sounds.

Tokyo Renaissance is a project initiated by Dirty K to reclaim a new localized, specific perspective on East Asian club culture as a counterpoint to the homogenization brought by the internet. 

Through exploring 90s rave culture and its regional East Asian mutations - namely the Japanese Hyper Techno scene - Dirty K and LJC delve into the past to shape the future. Hi-NRG, supercharged sirens, cascading synth riffs.

Bristol-based melody wizard Lurch returns to The Chikara Project for his second solo release for the label, “Cosmic Chords”. As with his previous offerings, the EP is genre-bending, emotive and brimming with soul and funk. The titular A-side is a big warm hug of a tune, dancing effortlessly between soulful guitar instrumental, garage, and dubstep, without staying in one box for too long. The b-side, “Amazing Stories Dub” is a different beast altogether, heading in the direction of early-2000’s Horsepower Productions territory, but with a space-age twist, weaving vintage astronaut samples and dub stabs into Lurch’s tough drum breaks.

A song about distance.
"8645km" was the first original song I wrote. In 2019 I almost finished an update to it but I lost the project file before I could finish it. This is the result of me trying to finally finish my revisit to this - these now nostalgic feelings attached to this song. As I was revisiting it I found myself pulling from more current things in my life so I decided to update the title.

This is straight from my heart. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening.
