Literatura is a mysterious duo made up of Kai Si and Al3ne who proclaim a mission to touch the inner world with their sounds. They have previously released material via the likes of Go Deeva, A Tribe Called Kotori and Connected. 
The project focuses on live instruments and different unusual sounds to the listener. Each track is a story, each track is a different book from different genre. Project LITERATURA is pleased to present a spring selection of ideas and sounds they really like at the moment.

PREMIERE: Literatura & Stereo MC’s - Downtown feat. Junket (Original Mix) [Connected]

'Literatura return to connected, this time collaborating with Spanish house hero DJ CHUS for ‘Dallallallum’, backed with a remix from DJEFF.

DJ CHUS is a veteran of the electronic dance scene and a pioneer of an organic tribal percussive “Iberican” sound. Here he takes a break from his Redolent imprint to collaborate with the enigmatic Literatura for this latest release on connected. For the remix, DJEFF brings his ‘Afropean’ sound to bear, further evidencing why he is so in demand.

The original of ‘Dallallallum’ features tight and punchy drums and percussion, a trademark of DJ CHUS, whilst a smokey, lounging bass line and stuttering dubby rises bring the Literatura influence to the fore. The track is enhanced by the searching vocal punctuations from featured artist Gedion and the whole production has an intense atmosphere that wraps itself around the groove.

Angola’s DJEFF takes on remix duties, delivering a hypnotic revision built on a galloping rhythm and pulsing offbeat bassline. Subtle use of the original vocal and strings give this a heads down and heady feel that is truly captivating.

This is another surefire winner from DJ CHUS, Literatura and the team at connected.'

Next to the original, Kellerkind delivers an uplifting remix. As the world has turned for the worse, our mission to create safe spaces for human connection and wellbeing seems more important than ever. In these times we want to support all those fleeing the terrible invasion of Ukraine. We started a fundraiser as a cooperation with Save Your Culture e. V. and Literatura who comes from Kyiv, for Ukraine health organizations. All income from this EP will be donated.

‘Asokere’ begins with an attention-grabbing piano lead that steers the track forwards into a bed of driving drums, delicate percussion and rhythmic bass notes. Its enchanting vocal topline, combined with sweeping synths and flute segments, adds even more charm to deliver a standout Deep House cut with a hypnotic feel.
