I’m excited to share my very first compilation, Intimate Club Vol. 1, coming out on December 6th!  

This 10 tracks collection will take you on a musical journey blending club, bass, breaks, global sounds, and even some emo vibes. It’s a mix that ranges from light, uplifting atmospheres to darker tones, all crafted to create a heartfelt and emotive experience.

The idea behind Intimate Club V/A Vol. 1 is to bring together all my inspirations in one space. By celebrating club culture and electronic music, I aim to break down the walls of purism and let everyone experience something truly authentic. This compilation honors human connections, the diversity of gender identities and cultural backgrounds in music. Each sound and rhythm enriche our musical landscape, offering unique perspectives and overflowing creativity.

You’ll discover tracks from amazing artists around the globe, including Neana, Gaszia, Lisa More, Miss Jay, Burna, a-rot, Cardozo, XQZ ME, Submarine FM, Girl Tool, Frog Chaser, and Casement. Each artist adds their unique flair, creating a diverse collection that looks towards the future.

The old world is collapsing—its structures fading, its borders dissolving. We are no longer just witnessing change; we are inside it, moving through the wreckage of what was and into the chaotic birth of what’s next. A new world is emerging in real time.

As everything shifts, we turn to sound—digging through the Vol. 4 submission folders, gathering fragments of memory, rhythm, and resistance to make sense of the moment. VOL. 2 is loading.

This is music for uncertain times—where irony meets feeling, nostalgia collides with speed, and the African side of things reminds us that rhythm has always been a force of survival and liberation. Polyrhythms spiral like broken timelines, edits twist the past into something unrecognisable, and bass shakes the ground beneath us.

But through all the chaos, one truth remains: we are one. Across continents and sounds, across generations and struggles, we move together. And in the end, freedom will win.

Shuv says:
"I came across a live performance by Aviador Dro on YouTube and started learning about the La Movida movement. I got really inspired by it and thought the song I sampled would be perfect for a 160 BPM flip."

Shuv @bigshovel is a Canadian DJ and producer whose time in Berlin shaped his eclectic sound. After a few years playing everything from techno to jungle, he draws inspiration from collecting records and working in nightlife, blending bass, breaks, and experimental sounds.
