Clad inaugurates Grid Records, summoning an album compilation from close friends and affiliates, half French, half internationals. 'Improvisations' allows twelve different producers to explore and create in different directions that they're not typically known for.

Featuring E-Unity, Kevin Murf, C.Coiffure, NRLSD, Doline, MISH, Lastrack, Théo Muller, Solotape, Realitycheck, EXCPT and Troy Gunner, the record establishes a tweaked-out relationship with improvisational sound-design from the outset and throughout. Themes of hypnotism and experimental club-focused excursions are entrenched within the framework, with deadly blows of percussion, and stereo-imaging coexisting in a gorgeous realm of love-injected artistic expression.

A lot of music in the current climate can seem to be executed by overthinking and overpolishing. However, 'Improvisations' turns this on its head, providing a beautifully human feel across twelve, unique excerpts.

East London's most forward-thinking record label is soon to release Nervous Horizon Vol. 4, the latest addition to their notorious various artists compilation series.

Known for bringing together regional club sounds from all around the world, this time label heads TSVI & Wallwork focus on dancehall influenced instrumentals but also throw fast paced percussive club works in the mix.

Nervous Horizon's core members DJ Plead, Ehua, DJ JM, SIM & Seven Orbits are all back with killer dubs and Vol. 4 also sees the introduction of some brand new signees: Montreal based Mexican producer Ultima Esuna, Bristol's rising star Josi Devil and congolese Nyege Nyege affiliate Chrisman. Techno prodigies Happa and Aquarian make their debut appearance on the label as well with compositions that blend intricate sound design with explosive low end.

Opening at 90 BPM and ending at nearly 160BPM, Nervous Horizon Vol. 4 is definitely going to be one of the most effective tools on the dance floor this season!

Just two years on from its inception, Kindergarten Records reaches its tenth release. Who better then, to celebrate this anniversary, than Drummy. The NYC-based producer was the first to release alongside Sha Ru on the label back in May 2020, and the intricate chaos of his production work is emblematic of the label’s commitment to maximum propulsion on the dancefloor. With Double Stop, Drummy dials up the energy while delving into a deep, dark sound palette. The EP heaves and crashes throughout, playing with texture with a maximalist approach.

“I wanted to see if I could push my usage of the stereo field while keeping things buoyant and danceable with forward motion” explains Drummy of Double Stop. Much like Kindergarten’s previous output he surfs that kinetic energy to the edge of overwhelming the listener. In that space where he stops short, Drummy conjures an alchemical potency ready to invigorate any adventurous dancefloor.

Finishing off Henzo’s banner 2022 that has seen releases on YCO and Peder Mannerfelt Produktion, the Manchester based producer dials back the tempo into 5 cuts of gloom-ridden dancefloor damagers for his Nervous Horizon debut. Running the gamut of Dancehall, Techno and Drum & Bass, the EP’s refined palette is laser-guided in its intention of favouring groove and atmosphere over melody and hooks.

The opening track, 'Survivorship Bias', rolls out a lurching and smudged drum break over an equally sketchy Donk and vocal sample in a Bolton-meets-Belgium chug affair. 'It’s Ours and Hours Alone' and 'Writhing' lean more towards a typical Dancehall rhythm, smattered with the reticulated percussion that Nervous Horizon have been known for, saturated and growling. 'His Troublesome Knees' sees a variation on the theme of the opener, with the addition of harrowing, gnarly strings that posit drama in the riff that runs almost throughout; An inescapable tension that juxtaposes the highly danceable groove. Rounding out Stretford Blues, 'A Pocket You Didn’t Expect' feels like 3 tempos at once: 82, 164 and 328BPM. The battering, unrelenting kicks laced over taut breaks and hats hark to Jungle Techno and Tech Step in their composition, but the drawn out and bleak orchestral breakdown, coupled with a barking, irate bassline, suggest that Henzo shows no allegiance to nostalgia and is moving intently into the future.

Onyr is the electronic music project of London-based drummer and producer Dave Storey. After making his debut in 2025 with releases on Sweden’s AEDI Records and BEAM Records, he now unveils his first full EP, Hydrus, released on the French label 909 Connection.

Drawing on his deep rhythmic sensibility and expansive musical background, his productions blend an eclectic mix of organic textures, psychedelia, and deep techno into a distinctly polyrhythmic and hypnotic sound. The result is an immersive sonic world that bridges the acoustic and electronic, built on carefully crafted grooves, euphoric atmospheres, and a drive to explore different states of consciousness.

To complete the EP, STUPR made a tribal and dubby interpretation of Rainmaker, and R.2614 remixed Swirl, adding his unique occult touch to the release.

Hydrus introduces Onyr as an artist with a clear and compelling sonic identity.
