Introducing the fresh talent Derek Lee to the Nomine Sound Tribe, he brings along two hefty helpings of deep, rumbling, and downright stinky dubstep. 'War of The Worlds' tricks you with a “where is this going” start, only to ambush you with its super sub-low bass that'll practically sit on your chest and take your breath away. With its sparse, yet forceful tribal drums, mesmerising synths, and those deep, stinky lows, it's a dancefloor disaster in the making (but in the best way imaginable). 'Shadows In My Soul' follows suit with Derek's deep-seated "how low can you go" signature sound, where lush pads set the stage for a soul-stirring vocal, only to be eclipsed by that massive bassweight that feels like a big, smelly one landing right on your face!

"The dominant sound characteristics are a fusion of sci-fi and space fx sampling & resampling, techy perc grooves, deep hitting low end and gritty mid-bass phrases, I really wanted to explore how more energetic grooves can be blended together with ominous unsettling atmospheres and sonic space.

These tracks collectively represent an ongoing thought-experiment form of inspiration; of creating audible manifestations of our biggest fears said to exist specifically beyond our planet. Within Exo contains the overarching concept of a sort of looming void beyond us carrying with it unpredictable forces. You'll hear my auditory manifestations referencing some well known stories and depictions of extra-terrestrials very forwardly 'visiting' Earth, such as war of the worlds. Such themes played a significant role in the sound design direction, hence the name EXO, meaning external; From the outside.

Hope you all enjoy this turbulent and spacious journey through the beyond!"

These are a few edits that I've made and played out live in a bunch of my sets over my time as an artist these past couple years. All three tracks contain original elements produced by me, but they also heavily sample other works. The amount of other works sampled varies from track to track, so none are exactly originals, but none are exactly remixes. Putting this out wouldn't be possible without the other artists I sampled and collaborated with. Big ups to Hostage Situation, as I used one of their tracks in the final edit / mashup, and Remnant, who produced the Howlerz spesh with input from me. Please enjoy! Coming from a deep love of audio in all genres of the musical world my mixes encompass the chaotic energy that is my usual brain and life. I create soundscapes with intricate layering of melodic chords partnered with deep wobbly bass lines, or bouncy funky upbeat danceable journeys, often dissonant but somehow drawing to the ear.

Nearly always incapable of staying in a lane, I craft journeys of sound that lead one from a trance like wonder through to dark swampy atmospheres, filled with elements of emotion and raw instrumental and classical elements. I combine genres, bend the rules and blur the lines between dance and journey.

Slowly building a name amongst the NSW and broader East Coast Australian underground music scene. 

Playing events such as, Dragon Dreaming 24, Esoteric Festival 2024, Basscamp 22 & 23, Subsonic, Sub-Terra, Movement, Tribe Ascension, Airwaves, Origins Of Entropy, Void Of Entropy, plus a plethora of smaller local events and a resident DJ and Core Memebr of Newy Bass Crew performing with them at many events around the Newcastle region.

All of my early work will always remain on the profile, covering the journey I have made in my progression of mixing from terrible talentless beginnings to a very mildy more experienced DJ, with a greater sense of my own unique sound and direction.
