하루 일과가 끝나고 집에 돌아갈때, 문득 갑자기 이유없이 돌아다니거나 어딘가를 들려보고 싶을 때가 있습니다. 잘보냈던 날은 잘보낸대로 오늘 하루가 아쉬워서, 힘들었던 날은 힘들었던대로 위로받고 싶어서. 저 역시 그렇게 바로 돌아갈 수 있는 길을 괜히 돌아서 산책로로 가거나, 자주가는 바에서 괜히 들려 한잔하곤 했던 날이 많았던거 같아요.

그런 시간에 들으면서 하루를 달래볼만한 Soul, Jazz Funk, Disco 노래들을 선곡해 재구성해보았습니다. Bob James의 Jazz 트랙인 Night Crawler와 동명으로 믹스 제목을 정했고, 제가 좋아하는 Stoked&Stoned 에서 즐겨 트는 트랙들이기도 해요. 앨범 커버는 제가 코로나 시국 바로 전에 갔던 유럽 여행 중 포르투의 밤길을 걸어가면서 직접 찍었던 사진을 골랐습니다.

When I go home after a day's work, I suddenly want to go around for no reason or stop by somewhere. I think there were many days when I used to go around the road and go to the promenade or stop by a bar that I often go to for a drink.

At that time, I selected Soul, Jazz Funk, and Disco songs to soothe the day. Bob James' Jazz track Night Crawler and I chose the mix title under the same name, and they are my favorite tracks on Stoked&Stoned. For the album cover, I chose a photo that I took while walking along Porto's night road during my trip to Europe just before the Covid-19 situation.

현대적인 클럽이 본격적으로 시작되었던 1990s 댄스 뮤직 클래식을 훑고 지나가는 바이닐 Only 믹스입니다.
지루한 믹셋 설명은 여기까지하고 아 이제 좀 놀고 싶다! 🤪

Anthem

As I spent more time at home due to telecommuting, I heard sad and sad news that Daft Punk will be disbanded while studying and practicing producing alone. With ‘Something About Us’, I’ve edited the bootleg tracks and practiced the things I've learned so far. It felt even more strange. It's been a while since the ‘Ramdom Access Memories’ album came out, so I was looking forward to seeing them come back with another amazing track in Covid-19.
I listened to Daft Punk's playlist on Spotify all day while working overtime that day. And although I'm not good enough, I wanted to finish making Bootleg and release it for people as my first track.
Starting with Bootleg, I'm going to introduce not only DJ Mixset but also various original tracks through Soundcloud. I'm still in the process of sketching ideas, but I'll prepare to play them slowly and steadily for those who support me. And if I have a chance, I'd like to do a single release through the label. Of course, still preparing the mixers in spare time. Haha

재택근무 때문에 거의 집에서 지내는 시간이 많아지면서, 홀로 프로듀싱을 공부하고 연습하던 저에게 Daft Punk가 해체된다는 아쉽고 슬픈 소식이 들려왔습니다. 마침 저는 ‘Something About Us’로 간단하게 Bootleg 느낌의 트랙들을 만지면서 그간 간간히 배웠던 것들을 연습하고 있어서 더 기분이 이상했던거 같아요. 저는 ‘Ramdom Access Memories’ 앨범이 나온지도 꽤 시간이 흘렀기 때문에, 코로나 시국에서 그들이 또 놀라운 트랙을 가지고 돌아오지 않을까 내심 기대하고 있었습니다.
그날은 야근을 하면서 하루종일 Daft Punk의 플레이리스트를 Spotify에서 들었습니다. 그리고 많이 부족하지만 연습겸 만들던 Bootleg을 마무리 해서 저의 첫 트랙으로 사람들에게 들려주고 싶다는 생각을 하게 됐어요.
이번 Bootleg을 시작으로 저는 DJ Mixset 뿐만 아니라 다양한 오리지날 트랙을 먼저 Soundcloud를 통해 선보이려고 합니다. 아직까진 아이디어를 스케치하는 단계에 머물러 있지만 천천히, 그리고 꾸준히 저를 응원해주시는 분들께 들려드릴 수 있도록 준비하겠습니다. 그리고 기회가 된다면 레이블을 통한 싱글 릴리즈도 진행해보고 싶어요. 물론, Mixset도 계속해서 틈틈히 준비하고 있습니다 ㅎㅎ
